you guys shouldn’t change terms - it really isn’t worth the hassle.

For some people it is.

For example, had I been accepted for Summer and not Fall when I applied, I would have likely not attended FSU (either outright just not gone or done a 2+2 at a local community college). I needed pretty much every single dollar I made working the summer between high school and starting at FSU in order to be able to afford FSU, and I would not be surprised if there were plenty of people in the same situation.

Now, if it’s just “hey, I don’t want to go to FSU for summer, and would rather go for Fall” then yeah, I agree. However, for some people the choice isn’t really so simple.

So does my app get reevaluated for fall?

What Are The Dates of Orientation for freshman 2012 fall term ?

For Orientation information, until you hear from the university - watch this page: [The Florida State University](http://nsfp.fsu.edu/orientation.html)

Registration for orientation is open as of today. Dates depend on several factors, one being your major. You sign in thru the website linked above and it will take you through the steps. You can’t register for orientation until you have paid your tuition deposit however.

nevermind.

Wow! Just saw that I was accepted into the college of nursing. That is one load off my mind!!!

hghschjunior how did you find out if you got in?

If you go into your status you will see your major as Nursing (NFA) which means not formerly accepted. Its been that way forever. Today it just says Nursing. I read that in one of the posts along time ago and today it changed and the letters are suppose to be going out this week or first week of January so I believe that its correct. Let me know how you did.

Yay!

Good luck at Brown!

The PLME seems to be a wonderful program, but it appears very close to this program at Florida State’s College of Medicine: [Honors Medical Scholars - Honors Medical Scholars Program - FSU College of Medicine](Honors Medical Scholars -Home | College of Medicine)

Which is likely substantially less expensive then the program at Brown and incorporates the well-diversified FSU Med School, which arguably is building some of the best MDs in the United States.

Parent2Noles,

Thank you very much. Yes, I loved both programs very much.
Expense-wise, I’m essentially getting a full-ride, but that’s not the case with everyone. I’m just happy that I don’t need to take the MCAT.
You were very helpful when I was trying to pick between UF and FSU, and I’m glad I knew the latter was better. FSU!!

Congrats, nadiabl12!

Welcome to the Tribe!

nadiabl12–

Congratulations on your acceptance and if I may ask,
with your excellent ACT score and GPA,
have you considered UF?

Received general acceptance to FSU for Summer 2012, but recently completed music audition and awaiting the acceptance/scholarship offer to the music program…fingers crossed, but it went well! I guess I don’t worry about orientation until I find out about the Music school acceptance.

Still waiting for some sign of progress on my application for Summer. I applied in mid-December as a upper-division transfer applicant. Does it usually take this long? I guess I’ll probably find out in March/April. I hope after waiting this long it’s not a rejection.
