Let's chat lol... First off I just wanted to say that the last section (last 15) of the science gave me a lot of trouble? Anyone else have that problem?

What did you guys think of it?

Let's chat lol... First off I just wanted to say that the last section (last 15) of the science gave me a lot of trouble? Anyone else have that problem?

What did you guys think of it?

what was the last question on science? D: i think i misread it.

Thought like the last 15 were really hard on Math.

I don’t remember at all lol… I think it had something to do with the DCM and H20 layers though…

English: Medium difficulty, many easy questions with a few tricky ones mixed in. I think i got a 72/75
Math: Some really difficult questions in this section, especially the last 10. I guessed on 3. Am expecting a 57/60
Reading: boring ass passages. think i got a 38/40
Science: i am usually really good at science, i average a 34/35 on practice tests. however this time I just flat out ran out of time. I think i got a 34/40 :(((((
Essay: amazing prompt! think i got a 10

was hoping to get a 35, but that’s not going to happen. My last act i got a 33, so hopefully i get a 34, but not likely.

@sraval1002 I agree on the reading… Hard to read something you aren’t interested in… At least in my case lol… I ran outta time on science too… Was not expecting that at all… English wasn’t bad… I liked the Math lol… But that’s because I’m a math guy… But I will admit that some math questions were very difficult…

english - not too bad
math - last 10 were hard… had one minute to make educated guesses on the 57- 59. randomly guessed E for 60 (wad the right answer c ?). i hated the weird one with the p->r and stuff. I put A. how about yall?
reading - eh, boring, but not too bad. the curve will probs be super cruel though
science - not that bad, but curve will probably suck for this too

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

Do colleges accept the state ACT tests or just national?

NCdukie… Not sure what 60 was… But that was my test form so yours may have been different… Depending on how other people do… The curves might be a bit generous because in my school at least, the last science passage killed everyone…

What test form did you guys have?

What did ya’ll put for that math problem with the true false stuff?

@akbata, completely guessed on that one. I don’t even know what truth tables are!
Yeah math was easy 1-50, but the last 10 required some thinking (i guessed on 3 of them lol). Anyone have any clue when we get our results?

for the truth table one… i narrowed it down to either r->s or s->r… such a confusing question. on the science one about the copper pipes, what did you get for the pressure valve question?

@aiyegbeni which problem exactly? I didnt have any problems with that passage.

The math was a lot more difficult than the February act… What did u guys get for the one where there is a trapezoid and it meets at point E or something like that #55

For the trapezoid question it was 8. the point they meet is 4,8

@enny12 - that’s what I got!!!:))

Does anyone remember the problem where there were two triangles in a square and we had to figure out the area of one of the triangles in respect to x??? #50 I think??

@beagopa: I believe the triangle area is simply X.

I don’t know the full problem exactly, but, you were given that the side of one square is 1. Then, you were given a triangle who’s area is X. So, after calculating, I came to the conclusion that one side of the triangle was sqrt(2x). That one side of the triangle then equaled with the height of the designated triangle you were supposed to find. So, .5(sqrt2x)^2 = X

My input:

English: Meh, I suppose it went fine.
Math: Compared to February’s, much easier in my mind.
Reading: I suck at reading. Had to guess on like 5 of them.
Science: The fighting scientists was a terrible one. (H2O and DCM). On some of the experiment/graph questions, the last question of the passage, I was like: “***”, it wasn’t even relevant to the passage itself. Any of you thought of that?
Writing: What. A. Heaven. Topic.

Yeah, this is the first ACT I’ve taken and I found it to be difficult.

The time constraint really hurt me more than I expected.

English: Finished in time.
Math: Had to guess on maybe 7 or so.
Reading: Had to guess on last 4 which sucks because I’m good at reading.
Science: Hardest part by far. First two parts went well. Third and fourth were a lot of guess due to time running out.
Essay: Not hard.

Do you think there was a misprint or something on the Science? The last two sections were ridiculous. I’m not saying they’ll redo that section or something, but it seemed like the Science section was particularly difficult. Everyone I know and I guess most people on here. Also, @baegopa, I got the same thing as Rasen888. Every other section was fine. The problem towards the end with the piecewise functions threw me through a loop until I saw those two filled in dots, meaning it failed the vertical line test hence y wasn’t a function of x.
