OK so apparently UCSF BMS are still reviewing applications… so don’t get upset if you haven’t gotten an answer yet!

Has anyone heard from Stanford Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine yet???

Any idea when UCSF BMS will be finished reviewing?

@stemcell7 - yes, I got a call from SCBRM on Dec 19th/20th. They are only interviewing 15, and when I booked my flight, the travel guy said he had all the names already… sorry :(

Last week UCSF BMS told me that people should receive a decision within a week or two.

@ Stemcell7…I am an RA in the labs of one of the professors in Stanford’s institute, and i saw they have already snail mailed all the interview requests. but I think they upped the # to 19.

Just wondering, although these don’t seem to be hot topic schools, but has anyone heard anything from Georgetown biomed undeclared, UPenn Biology, or Boston U microbiology?

Wait they upped the number to 19 but still all the invites have been sent out =/ aww well i guess it’s better to know than to spend every day obsessively checking my email. thanks for the update guys!

Has anyone heard from berkeley’s infectious disease and immunity program? I don’t think I’ve seen anything from them yet…

anybody knows about MIT BE? I know people got interview already, but wonder if they send out all the invites at once.

@Biophysical
UMass emailed me before their deadline (Dec. 31). Duke and UNC are sending me testy emails asking for a response. Scheduling, scheduling…

@biochem2012 thank you for your advices. I think that will help a lot.

BTW. Does anyone know how many students that the pharmacology and molecular signaling graduate program of Columbia University admits every year? I asked one professor several months ago and he replied that they admitted a whole class of students every year.

UCSF BMS rejection. At least the wait is over.

did they send that information this late? or earlier in the day?

A few hours ago between 7 - 11 PM central time.

Within the last 24 hours:

-UCSF BMS rejection
-UCSD BMS invite
-WashU DBBS-MMMP rejection
-UAB GBS invite
-UCI rejection
-USC (south carolina) Dual Degree - Biomedical Sciences/Medicine, PhD/MD invite

I feel like a pregnant teenager on an emotional roller coaster…

@micromacro did you get a rejection email about UCI? Did you apply to the CMB program? I applied to the virology training program under CMB but haven’t heard about an interview yet. I was told by email that final invitations would hopefully be sent out today or tomorrow

Good luck, virology101! From what I remember you have at least what appear to be better stats than me, so I’d certainly not give up hope. I think you also applied to UPenn and Emory, right? Have you heard from either? Or does anyone know when the CAMB/MMG (respectively) interviews are? I have a slightly lower priority interview (still very good, though) that I would go ahead and accept knowing it doesn’t potentially conflict with those two.

@Virology101
CMB - Microbiology and Molecular Genetics
rejection email…
Good luck

Can international applicants post their results on this thread as well:
