[Years of Research Experience] 2.5 in neuroscience lab which is predominately undergraduate. I serve as “Undergraduate Coordinator”, in which I train new students, give tours of the lab, and coordinate the 20 or so undergraduates we usually have in the lab. In addition I am also an officer in our programs Neuroscience Club and am involved with things like running review sessions and helping new students to the program.</p>
<p>I have had two poster presentations at international conferences, two oral presentations at regional meetings, and a couple other poster presentations at regional meetings.</p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone had heard from UAB, UCLA, Brown (I have only seen one person who posted about Brown), or UCSD (I had seen someone had contacted the office and said the rest of the interviews would go out by yesterday, but I didn’t see anymore appear on GradCafe). Thanks!</p>
<p>Is it OK to take a few days to reply to the interview invite? I’m still deciding which faculty members to list.</p>

I think that’s fine. I usually reply ~2-3 days after I receive the invitation. Some schools give you a deadline, as long as you reply by then I think you’re fine. If you receive the invitation on Thursday or Friday, I wouldn’t reply later than Monday.</p>

<p>I have a question to those who have done interviews (or have heard about this specific topic about interviews)…</p>
<p>I know in some of my apps I had to list other programs/universities I was applying to but during your interview would this ever come up and if it did how should you answer it?</p>
<p>Obviously you may be asked to state why you applied to their specific university/program but would you ever be asked (during an interview) to state the other programs you applied to/were invited to interview with and state whether if you got into one of those other programs would you still consider theirs?</p>
<p>I’m going to my first interview this weekend at a school near the top of my list but also have later interviews at schools maybe one or two higher (as of now) in my personal rankings. I guess I’m just worried about sounding cocky or maybe even being discounted if they think I’m using them as a back up or something like that.</p>

<p>@neurogirl4-we were told the admissions committee was meeting on Friday and Tuesday to make decisions. Should hear back by 5pm tomorrow the latest. This is of course just for the first round of interviewees.</p>

<p>Oh, I just realized nrds35 said acceptance…I thought he meant interview invites…so does that mean there is no more hope for invites?</p>
<p>@langerhans-I interviewed Jan 9-10, so waiting to hear on acceptance, waitlist, or rejection tomorrow.</p>
<p>This was the first round of interviews for them, very early. I think they will still send out invites for sure, I know that they do admissions on a rolling basis.</p>
