Oh my gosh I was so nervous as I checked the mail today...but!

Accepted!
2180 SAT, 1450 SAT II
Grades not too stellar throughout high school, but I pulled almost all A's for the past 3 semesters.
I play soccer, talked with the coach and such, might have helped but I don't know for sure, it was on and off communication.
On the bottom of my acceptance letter, though, it said "You presented a fabulous application, and we particularly enjoyed your essays."
I did think I wrote an insightful common app essay.

I'm so excited!!

Still waiting to hear back from Whitman College and Princeton, but I'm into one of the top schools I was hoping to attend!

Best of luck to everybody still waiting to hear!

Wow. I'm suprised that so many with outstanding stats got waitlisted..My friend just got waitlisted and she has excellent numbers as well as unique, focused EC's. Haverford's really getting choosy. :/

Son joins the waitlisted crowd.
2210 SAT; 1500 SAT II.
4 AP's complete; 3 in progress.
Strong everything else except GPA sophomore year pulled down due to illness. Disappointing and scary for the apps still outstanding.

I was also waitlisted.
2210 SAT; 31 ACT; 6/530 weighted rank; 97.3 GPA
Honestly, I feel honored to be waitlisted after reading some of the other stats of the waitlisters. Plus, they only took 315 out of 3,300! That's only 9.55 percent! Congrats to all of you who got in as well.

ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH THIS FEELS SO GOOD!!

haverford was a massive reach, but i got in! i'm so happy. i love haverford and the honorcode, and squrilles (sp?)! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2200 SAT (700 Reading, 750 Math, 750 Writing)
800 US History, 780 Math II, 690 Spanish
GPA: 3.97 Unweighted 4.08 Weighted
Top 1% in class of ~650
Recs: The one I saw was great, others I don't know
Essays: I loved my Common App one, and my honor code one was different

I didn't have the best experience staying over at Haverford,
but from what I did see (and hear, in class), it looks to be a wonderful school,
and I will definitely visit once more, regardless of whether or not
I get into my top choices.

I wish I worked harder on my Honor Code essay.
It was rushed, and sounded far too pretentious for my tastes...

But, fine. I'm thankful :)

If I choose to enroll, I'll probably end up majoring in Physics,
even though I earned a C in Physics... I sat in on seven classes,
and I'm surprised to say the advanced physics class was most enjoyable.
The instructor was serious, but also a lot of fun.

uh, as a clarification, when schools say they only have (insert number) of freshman each year out of (insert number) of applicants. they admit more than that number because not every one gets in. chances are, they admitted around 700ish-800..regardless admittance to haverford is very impressive. congratulations to you all :]

accepted!! did anyone else get a handwritten message on their acceptance letter?? i got something that says "you presented a fantastic application" by Jess H. Lord.
