2012 SPRING transfer

Hello, I have applied to transfer to UCF for Spring 2012 from my current community college.

At the moment I have earned 48 credits, and will have 60 and my AA after the end of this current semester.

Today myucf application status got updated to say:

An initial official transcript has been received. Please request that a final transcript be sent after completion of all courses completed prior to entering UCF to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P. O. Box 160111, Orlando, FL 32816-0111, when available.

Does this mean I am "deferred" until I complete my AA, but as long as my AA is completed I will be accepted?

Or does this mean there will be no decision/evaluation until final transcript?

I'd like to know because I have to make personal arrangements PRIOR to receiving my final transcript in December.

Thank you

This means they recieved your application and other info. They have not made a decision yet, you are not deferred. Hope you get accepted :). I am a spring 2012 transfer also

hey i was in the same boat as u i was one class away from my AA but i was deferred until i sent the final transcripts to show i got my AA. i called and they told me that that was what they were waiting for in order for them to make a final decision and once i finished my last class an was finally awarded my AAi sent it and within the week i found out that i was accepted. to b honest unless u have a high high gpa and good test scores they are going to wait for ur AA to tell u yes. Good Luck!! Im sure you will be fine! im finally going this spring semester!

Has ANYONE that applied for SPRING TRANSFER AND completing their AA THIS DECEMBER received a decision yet? I’d really like to know if they have even gave out decisions or defers to students with these types of applications.

I’ve been roaming around these threads for a while now, and I haven’t seen an individual/student, accepted as a transfer yet. To be honest, I think they’re truely focusing on getting the summer decisions out, which doesn’t make much sense, when you look at it. However, as long as you do well, and get your AA, you should be okay:) Wish you the best of luck, and hope to see you there!

Just accepted for summer, 2012.

MyUCF Status has just been updated to say:

Congratulations! You have been offered admission to UCF for the Spring 2012 term. Your acceptance is contingent upon earning an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public institution or earning 60 transferable semester hours of credit with at least a 2.5 gpa from the last institution attended, as well as overall, two college level courses in both math and english with a grade of ‘C’ or better in each and successful completion of two consecutive years of the same foreign language in high school or eight semester hours of the same foreign language in college.
You may now register for orientation at [UCF First Year Experience - (407) 823-5105](http://www.orientation.ucf.edu)
We look forward to you joining us at UCF!

Does this basically mean I am in as long as I complete my AA?!

hey Brand0n031,
When did you send in your application? I’m still waiting so I was wondering how much longer should I expect to wait.

Thanks

also, congrats!!

I sent in the application 1st week of September, and had transcripts in I believe last week of September.

And thanks.

original poster: I’m pretty sure it just means that they are still making the decision, and reminding you that you will need to send in your final transcripts so that your current courses are on record/in the system. It does not mean they will not make a decision until this time (end of the term when final grades are posted.) I believe I saw this same message last year when I was applying.

Brand0n- yes that means you are in with the AA- congrats :)
