2012 State Summary Reports are up!

Here, for CT:
Test|# of Top Scores
Year|CR…M…W…TOT|cutoff

2012 280…416…410…1094 | ?
2011 256…339…304…899 | 218
2010 280…426…388…1094 | 220
2009 300…594…313…1207 | 219

I have a 220, there’s gonna be a lot of suspense. It’s close…

I would guess for anyone wondering about CT, it’s going to be a 219 or a 220 this year, and may go up to 221 for the first time (which would suck for me, but it’s entirely possible)

Looking at the second-highest bracket of scorers, many more people also scored in the 70-74 range this year than ever before, so I would hazard a guess that this would cause the overall cutoff to increase as well

It looks like Iowa will go up as well this year, but I don’t know how much… chances it’ll be over a 218?

So, for Texas, my guess would be that their cut off will be about 218?

My daughter scored 216.

I got that their mean score went up by 2.2 points this year.

And the TOT from 2011 was 3494 and for 2012 it was 4564.

Okay - can you guesstimate what Alabama will be? The index would have to jump 6 points to eliminate my child which has only happened once in the last four years (in the state of Nevada). I am so confused on what to look at other than the trends over the years.

Where do we see the state by state reports?

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page that’s linked in the first post, you’ll see links for each state. That will take you to the most current (October 2012) state summary report for your state. If you want to look at the archived reports for your state, use the drop down menu at the top of the page that’s linked in the first post, and choose the year you want to look at, then scroll down to choose your state.

Unfortunately, the only thing any of us can do at this point is compare this years numbers to years past & make some educated guesses. No one will know for sure until August.
