No one should worry about it.

Yah that’s it romani! Rumor also has it that the last time this phenomena happened, it’s the Great Flood. I’m not a Catholic but I enjoy reading the Revelation <- kinda ironic hahaha

You guys realize stuff isn’t happening more, we’re just reporting it more…right?

^ Actually, that’s not true.

The increase in the world’s population has lead to the highest murder rates, starvation rates, epidemic rates, etc in modern world history (save WWI and WWII). It’s inevitable with a population that is much too big for the Earth.

We should just move to Mars. ;p

^^I mean like natural things like earthquakes, hurricanes, etc. Because that’s pretty much what 12/21/12 is supposedly going to be to those believers. A combination of natural disasters leading to the end of the earth or civilization at least.

The world will end when God is ready for it to end.

what if in the next year or so, the human civilization experiances a global starvation crisis. And then there’s a total breakdown on the human civilization. Where we go back to nomads acting in survival of the fittest. yea probably won’t happen, but you never know.

That’s what the movie told you.

If anyone is in for a good chuckle at people acting psychotic over 2012 – go here: [2012 Forum • Index page](<a href=“NameBright - Coming Soon”>NameBright - Coming Soon)
Particularly the “how to survive” sub-forum there.

this is ridiculous. the list even more so.

this .

^I feel the same way.

Actually, this theory has been around for a VERY long time, long before the movie came out.

What happened was the Mayans predicted a change in humanity, a new era in 2012. Then the Judeo-Christians came in, took that date, and applied it to their apocalyptic end of the world. So it is Revelation stories applied to Mayan calendars. Now, we just assume that the two are linked to one another (the devastating end and the 2012 date) because that is what has been believed for the last few generations.

You’ll never know. You just have to wait and find out! I wouldn’t get too excited. Y2K was far more convincing.

^ Why? Y2k was a scare that was overhyped and only around for a few years.
2012 predictions have gone beyond cultures and are millenia old.

Just asking.

Didn’t people miscalculate the 2012 thing?

[The World Will Not End in 2012, Miscalculation in Mayan Calendar | Socyberty](http://socyberty.com/future/the-world-will-not-end-in-2012-miscalculation-in-mayan-calendar/)

So really the world will “end” in 2220…of course I don’t believe in these “idiotic” apocalyptic/conspiracy theories (this apocalypse thing has been over done sooooo many times and so far they have all been wrong).
