Understandable, but I don’t really want to go to Cal State, no offense to them, great school through, however I feel like I will have a much better opportunities in getting to grad school if I go to UC’s.

Bjt: Is that GPA with fall included? Take winter classes. If you get rejected from riverside, APPEAL. I doubt you’ll get into other UCs bc your major is impacted

Do you guys know of any resources for help with the personal statement. I’ve already written it I just want like 7,000 second opinions. Ahh this is so stressful!

^ how can he gets into other UCs if his major is impacted? sarcasm?

I know my doubts. I doubt I’ll get into any UC’s with this crappy GPA of mine. Just mad of myself, but wondering beside UCLA and Cal, any UC’s look at personal statement? I’m not looking to write a very depressing story.

No Ferrari, if you know what I know, you’d understand. Shhh.
UCR and UCSC accept low gpa students. But I know business is impacted at UCR so you might have a chance

Iv89: your school should have a UC workshop. Mine does!

Bjt: NOPE. Only UCLA & Berkeley care. The rest dont even sneak a peak

my gpa is at 3.09 right now but after this semester it should be higher i might get straight A’s but if my teacher for environmental biology keeps grading as hard as he does then I’ll probably have 3 A’s and 1 B
so hopefully 3.1 - 3.2
thanks for all your advice I called and got everything straightened out!

WOOHOOO GOOD!!! You’re welcome
I forgot what major your applying with. As lOng as it isn’t impacted, I’d say you have a fair chance my friend. What are your top choices? Put them in order and I’ll chance you.

history not impacted:D
I’m applying to:
ucsc tagged
ucd
uci
ucm
ucr
and ucsd
thanks again!

Ok In at all except ucsd! That’s if you get AT LEAST A 3.2. Since admission is competitive this year, I’m thinking UCSD will have their cutoff to be at a 3.3 or 3.4 for non impacted. You still have a chance. People last year got in with 3.25’s. Mostly 3.3 and no tag. Hope for the best!!

cosigning 'coustickitty.

LMAO <3
by the way UCkitty, I’m seriously scared I won’t get accepted to UCSD even with a 3.33 to a non impacted major D: I mean my counselor even said I’m in…still worried :/

^ come on, I thought u r the one who said " CCC counselors are useless".

Not all
there are some REALLY good ones like my transfer counselor. He’s great. The academic counselors are HORRIBLE LOL

okay thank you! I’m happy I got ucsc so if I don’t get into anything else I’ll still be okay with ucsc

Good! UCSC is beautiful. Despite what everyone else says…

GPA right now is around 3.2, (3.199)

kitty dude, do you have any information about bus admin? Im doing good so far this fall. My GPA may be up to 3.5, 3.6 with a 4.0 this fall ( 18 units).

I will apply to all bus admin school, USC, UCB, UCI(Bus admin not allow to TAG), UCR(In TAG).

which field should i lean forward if i go to USC, UCI, UCR?

Oh business is impacted at UCR. I think you’ll get into all except USC and Berk. Wish I kne more about business major. I don’t :/

Are the “cutoff” GPA for all majors?

HECK YES, iwillflyby. For impacted majors…expect it to be at least a 3.6+ without tag depending what school it is. I caller UCSD and asked what their cutoff was for last year and they said 3.8 without tag. Total bs because so many people got in with 3.25, 3.3. If your major is impacted, then the 3.8 applies.
