oh great news ferrari thanks haha. well I did list poli sci as my alternate in most of the schools.

also I was told by an admissions officer at ucsd that your major has no bearing on your chances of admission because you are first admitted to the university THEN your major. is this accurate?

Please chance me.

All the UC’s besides Merced/Riverside/Davis.
Sociology Major.
Most of IGETC complete besides math portion. Mainly shooting for SB.
3.18 GPA, now and after spring.
I have an F in one class which brings my GPA down greatly. I’m retaking this class Spring. Without it my gpa is 3.57. Have good extra curicculars that are directly connected with my major.
30 units completed now/ 43 after fall.

Impacted major such as bio and engineering is not true…

is it bad if you don’t put your student state Id on your app? I went to two different high school do I don’t really want to put mine out of fear that they’ll make a mistake with my information. what do you think?

so* not do. stupid auto correct

^ i have the same problem, but people told me that is optional. Which mean put it if u want. or no.

[University of California - Apply online](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/how-to-apply/apply-online/index.html)
Statewide Student ID (optional). Each K-12 student in California public schools is assigned an ID number. If it’s not printed on your transcript, ask your counselor or registrar.

SirZans: I honestly think you should apply to Riverside and David and Santa Cruz because your stats are pretty low
last year the cutoff was near a 3.2…so I’d say you have a better chance at UCR UCSC UCM UCD.

@Lived: Your major isn’t impacted at UCSD…so idk what others are saying. And he’s a transfer counselor so he knows all the stats and can chance you and is usually 100% accurate.

Oh and Ferrari is wrong. UCR’s business program is strong and IMPACTED as heck. So ya

can someone please list the uc’s in the order of which ones are the best?

Need you guys to chance me… my sister really made me worry about my chance of getting in…

Apply to: Cal, San Diego, Santa Cruz
Major: Computer Science B.A.
GPA: 4.0
Major Requirements: Meet Cal’s.
IGETC: Done by Spring 12.

So my problem is that I’ve been taking the classes that follow Cal’s requirements. But my sister said that I’m so dumb that I should’ve done some CHEMs&PHYSs to apply for B.S. degree in UCLA, UCI, or UCSB. However, the only thing I followed was Cal’s requirements in LSCS. Well, I did plan ahead and studied really hard to maintain the GPA. So I think if I did well on Personal Statement and keep GPA the same. The chance wouldn’t be so bad. She just made me feel like I was all wrong for 2 years.

Someone? Thank you.

I was wondering what are my chances to get into UCLA. My GPA is solid, right now it is a 3.6. In my senior year I am taking 3 AP classes as well as physics. The three AP classes are calculus, English, and Environmental Science. I am going to be a the person in my family to go to college. I have 5 little brothers and sisters with a single parent. I also do not live in the best community but a low income Hispanic community. My sat and act scores were not that great. It is not because I am not smart it is just that when it comes to those types of test I always seem to not do good. If anyone can give me their honest opinion on my chances of getting into UCLA I would be grateful. I would not get hurt just give me your honest opinion. Thank You.

^ wth dude lol. I met with a UCR rep, and she told me it’s selective. Not impacted.

Ok then. Say that.

@HappyAray: The classes you took for UCB, are they anyhow similar to the classes that you have to take for the UCs listed?

plus to add more information, she told me that the average gpa for ucr’s business program is around 3.3. but to apply, you need atleast 2.5 gpa, which is a cake.

You can get into riverside with a 2.8 lmao. Can you believe you could get into UCSD with a 2.8 back in 2006? 2007? Oh how things have changed.

haha i heard about that. 2.8 to get in ucsd. No wonder people back then party like hell. In another case, it means that we are getting smarter, and human are evolve into some kind of genuine creature.

Haha yeah. By the time April arrives, I’ll go wild lol.

@Acoustickitty123
Yup. Only in Santa Cruz & San Diego.
