2012 Transfer Chance Me! Thread

@Pinoiako916

Your cousin is pretty much in everywhere except maybe 50/50 at UCLA and Michigan-Ann Arbor. I’d say she has a really good chance at Uwisconsin-Madison :)

From CCC
To UCSD-Structural Engineering, UCB-Civil Engineering, UCD-Civil Engineering
Transfer GPA 3.08
IGETC Certified
Transferable Units 67
Transferable Math MATH 20A
No D’s, F’s, or W’s
In good standing.

What are my transfer chances guys?

Original Flavor, I know your major is impacted as heck at UCB and UCSD. I’m not sure about UCD because your GPA isn’t competitive unless you tagged. Did you TAG at UCD? And is your major impacted there?

@ hey kitty, I’m not trying to be mean, but I really think he has no hope for all. UCD TAG requires 3.2, ucsd 3.5.

@Pinoiako916 I’m very familiar with UC freshman admission since I applied and was admitted to UCLA last year (along with alot of my friends). Your cousin is 85% in based on her majors. If she was majoring in Biology I’d say it’d be 50/50, but I’d have smart money on them getting into Asian American studies or Philosophy.

@Ferrari: Oh my bad. I thought UCD’s tag was a 3.0. Darn

I think he has a chance. Just keep up the good work.

Guys I’m in trouble, and I really need the help. I destroyed my fall semester grades by getting straight Cs. With this in mind, I know I will get rejected from all UCs.
My gpa atm is 2.58 ( yes I know, extremely low, and my major is business.)
TAG yes: ucr
applied to: ucsb, ucr, uci, ucsd.
DOWNWARD TREND.

do I have a chance to any of those school?

2.58 gpa? Business? brb omw to assist.org to help you.

Edit: nope you are fine. You will get in ucr 100% and this is my words.

Anyone objects me?

Won’t TAG rescind you for UCR?

@^ not sure, and I will wait for more peoples opinion. All i know is UCr business program only need u to have 2.5 gpa + Tag u in. I need someone to confirm this.

UCLA.
gpa: 3.46 fall 2011 grades.
major: political science
strong ECs and Personal Statements.
Gave some reasons on the application[in the PS] for the low gpa (illness, family issues and what not)
complete long shot? Shall I just give up hope?

what about UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCSC, UCSB
quite depressed right about now.

I had applied for the UCSD tag which requires a 3.5 by the end of this fall but as you can see I couldn’t even do that.

Please Chance Me! Thanks! :)

Major: Mechanical Engineering
GPA: 3.78
Schools Applied: UCLA, UCB, Cal Poly SLO, Cal Poly Pomona, USC, UCSD
Major: Pre-reqs done.
EC’s: Robotics Club, Society of Physics Students, Engineering Club, MECHA, PTK, AGS, I also volunteer work at my local family shelter (tutoring, reading to children, mentoring) - 150+ hrs.

How do I look! Thanks so much. :)

AB1: I’m depressed too but my gpa went down to a 2.8
Just do awesome in the next few semesters if ur taking winter do ur best. That’s what I’m doing I think u have hope just don’t give up.(: and talk to an academic advisor for the school you applied to for more advice. Hope is not gone.

your gpa looks a bit low to get into UCLA…the average gpa admitted for poli sci was a 3.79

bump bump bump

yeah poly sci is impacted at UCLA, a lot of PRE-LAW majors…

Could someone please chance
Me

Applied to: Ucla, Uc Berkeley, Uc Irvine, USC

Transfer gpa: 3.89
Pre reqs met for: Ucb, ucla and the
majority for uc irvine

I’m 24 I have a son and work full-time as an insurance claims rep while providing for my family on our own. I did an academic renewal for courses taken in 2007 at a different community college. I have a 4.0 transfer gpa at my current college but a C from 2007 will be factored in from the previous cc. I believe I have a great personal statement about how my son has opened my eyes and created a true drive to succeed. If anyone could chance me I would truly appreciate it

^ probably in, but psych is very impacted at UCLA and Cal so it’s not going to be a sure thing.

Thanks! That’s what I’m worried about because I’m a psychology major
