@Acoustic. Thank you very much! By the time I am done, I will have taken more units at the CCC though, so I think for admission purposes, they would still consider me a CCC transfer.

On another note. Everybody ready for those acceptance letters to begin rolling on in? I can’t wait for some peace of mind already!

this is ridiculous. we should just send apps in December/January. How does it work? We are technically evaluated AFTER the update?

Why are transfers even accepted last? freshman have so much to turn in and prove, transfers are just 60 units GPA and appropriate pre-reqs and thats about it.

just seems April is forever away. hopefully february is fast @ A. Kitty. Well February is going to be CSU month anyways.

@UCK, probably because the UC’s can make more money off of freshman, not transfers. As for the application, I don’t know why they don’t just accept it in Dec/Jan. Perhaps they’ve already taken a provisional look at the applications to ease the process and are waiting on further grades and what not? I really have no idea why.

For me, It seems like the more time that goes by, the more I freak out! The wait between app submission and acceptance just kills…

My majors are not too popular so I’d be surprised if someone could chance me, but it’s worth a shot

Transferring from a California community college as a junior
GPA: 3.51
Completed IGETC (transferring with 60 units completed)
UCLA: World Arts and Cultures major (non-dance)
UCI: Global Cultures major
UC Berkeley: Urban Studies major
UCSD: Communications major
(Yes I realize I’m applying for 4 different majors but none of the majors have prereqs)
Very confident in my essays, I have community service, internships, and club experience, no TAP

Praying someone can chance me because there’s barely anything on these majors in any of the forums

@Tony, I don’t know. UCSB is a backup school for me, so, needless to say, I haven’t done as much research on it as I should have. I’m sure other forum goers are a lot more experienced than I am and could offer you more advice, however, the forums seem to be rather slow this month! Have you tried going on their website and reading up on the majors there, perhaps looking at potential major interests or what is impacted? You could also contact your local UC representative and talk with them about it, I’m sure they would know.

@UCK, I believe so! Isn’t junior orientation optional though? I’m still waiting on an acceptance letter before I get all jazzed out for orientation!
