Wth so I’ll only have 18 units when i’m applying in November.

Will they even look at that???

By the time I’m done here at CSU I’ll have 12 units. After summer courses i’ll have 18.

For Fall 2012 i’ll be taking 16 units.

Winter 8 units

Spring 16 units.

How am I gonna get TAG and IGETC???

Also, here’s the TAG 2012-2013 Matrix showing the limits on CCC coursework mixed with university coursework:

<a href=“Redirect Notice”>Redirect Notice;

Tony, at the time you APPLY for a tag, how many units will you have? It’s difficult for me to try to piece together your academic history…haven’t been following the entire time. If its around 30, you can apply. If it’s under 30, you’ll have to take some extra units to catch up. Also, you’ll probably need to take some other extra units just to cushion yourself in case some of your units from CSU do not transfer to the UC.

Well if I were you I would be more concerned with the unit cap situation. And maybe you should stay at a cc for 2 years bc you dont have enough units. unless you wanna be one of those cc students on steroids and take like 20 units each semester.

I’ll probably have only 21 units when I’m applying for TAG…

So I should’ve taken more classes this semester wow…

Everyone was like DONT TAKE TOO MANY UNITS YOU’LL BE COUNTED AS A CSU TRANSFER STUDENT NOT CC.

This is my academic history

1st semester at CSU - 6 units lol

2nd semseter at CSU (Right now) - 12 units

Summer at CC - plan to take 6-7 units…

Fall 2012 - plan to take 16 units

Winter - 7 units

SPring 2013- 16

And i heard my csu classes might not even transfer over to the CC
■■■ man im so confuseddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

see a counselor at your csu or whichever cc youre going to. they will work everything out with you and give you an educational plan. If you do this, make sure you look up everything they tell you and see if it’s true. I’ve had multiple cc counselors give me false information.

You would have no problem being counted as a CCC student over a CSU transfer so long as less than half of your units are from the CSU. I’m going through the same thing as you, except from Colorado State. I talked to one of the counselor’s at my school who said “There is no way in h*** you’ll be able to transfer next year”. You really need to do a lot of researching on your own, because sadly, most of the time CC counselors don’t know what they’re talking about. At least in my neck of the woods.

Anyways, 21 units does seem a little low at time of application. You should at least be around 27 or so. You’re either going to have to wait an extra year, or take overload…not advisable. haha.

*** I’m not gonna apply for Fall 2015.

I’m supposed to be graduating by then.

This is ridiculous are you sure thats the only route I can go???

you should have taken more units!

Do you apply after Fall semester ends??

Or before???

Because if you apply after Fall I can totally get 30 units…

You fill out applications after fall semester begins, but file before it finishes. You do record your fall courses on the application and update it (what we all just finished) to report what your finals grades were as well as what you plan on taking in Spring.

So can I pull this off or no??

This is depressing as hell…

The way I see it, if you want to apply for the 2013-2014 school year, you’ll need to take at least 15+ units from here on out to make the deadline if you’ll only be around 21 when you apply.

you apply before fall ends.

I thought you had to have 30 units complete to apply for TAG?

@Tony: Tomorrow morning you should call to one of the UC’s that you want to apply to and ask them about this. Either talk to an admissions officer or a coucelor if you want.(:

If u still have questions.

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

I am since you said you update it at the end of fal 2012 could I possibly say I took 30+ units

@asphyxiac~ You do, but if tony’s CSU units exceed the limit cap on the UC’s he wants to apply to, then tag is out of the question. You can still apply as a junior transfer (without tag) with however many units you have in the fall, so long as you have at least 60 by the time you transfer.

just attend a workshop or talk with someone personally about how to transfer. Before i was clueless, but it took me 2 days to figure out and what classes should i take. Now I think i know everything about my field. It took a while, but things are clear at the end. Searching is the key, and asking questions at college confidential is a part of it. If you have any questions, just post them all out, we will answer one by one like a list. You can either make a thread about it because this is for chancing other people.

3/?

like that
I will come and answer everything u need.
