it is just TAG. No big deal, and don’t let this pull you down.

not sure whats with you, but TAG is very important to many of us, it guarantees you admission to a UC, a very rare thing that many do not get.

you should watch the PBS wide angle video about the “final test” that the chinese have to take to JUST get into college that they also have to take before high school as well. they for one don’t even get a chance for a CCC, second if they even did and all they have to do is maintain a 3.2 and stuff they would probably be so happy. Many chinese immigrants even work extremely hard to go to UC Davis, just because it isn’t a berkeley or LA, doesn’t mean that they can’t take you to a very lovely lifestyle.

i understand you’re just trying to ease the sadness and pain, but i just wanted to note out the seriousness and beautifulness of the TAG.

There are high school children right now in class stressing, losing sleep, and bussing their butt just to qualify for Davis, achieving 4.0+ GPA’s, and participating in major EC’s just to hopefully “BY STATS” be guaranteed in a way to Davis.

I just called them, and a UCD representative said that as long as the required classes are completed and I have more than 90 quarter units, I am fine.

So anybody with same problem need not worry.

^ lol I understood the meaning of TAG. Once you get approved that mean you will have easy time with the personal statement. Just trying to cheer him up. :(

i wonder if your username has anything to do with your ideology.

i want irvine, how do i have an easy time?

I’m TAG approved. 3.67 GPA, 40 units completed as an English major (Pre-law)

Yay. :]

My username indicates my hobby, but in any case TAG is a good way to release stresses, a backup plan, knowing that you will be guaranteed to at least one UC. Irvine? wow thats also my goal, and i love irvine, love costa mesa. :)

@hayward: congrats

Anyone else get in as pre managerial economics?
I thought calculus 1a/b were required? For my math requirement it only says I need stats and pass it with a C or better.

@jbLighty
I also got approved for Pre Man Econ. You definitely do have to take Calculus 1a/b. The reason it says that you only need stats is because the major you’re applying for is Pre Managerial Economics, not Managerial Economics. You will eventually have to finish Calculus to get into the major. The person from the man econ department told me that if if Calc wasn’t completed in cc, then it will just have to be done at UC Davis.
Hope that helps! :)

TAG approved to Clinical Nutrition!! ^_____^ super happy…davis is my first choice school because they have such a strong nutrition dept.

now the question is…how am i going to pay off their expensive tuition?!

My TAG got approved, but unfortunately I had to drop my chemistry class which brings me below 12 units. I’ll most likely lose my TAG now, right?

you shouldn’t lose it. as long as you make up that chemistry class by spring 2012 and finish 60 units, you’re okay.

I got in too. Last time I checked email (repeatedly) was before 11 AM and I did not receive any email. Then, I got busy and I was like whatever and my phone is not capable to check email. I just checked right now and I got in. Apparently I got the email at 11:53 AM.

Thanks guys for all the info :)

@isabellashea

I heard that UC Davis requires all their TAG applicants to be full time. When I applied I had 14 units, but now I only have 9. I’m afraid I’ll get my TAG rescinded, even if I retake the chemistry class during the Spring.
