2012 UCLA Transfer Decisions-Only TRICK Thread

Hey guys I figured I’d take a picture of my email page just so you can all see what I’m talking about. Again, let me know if anyone else has this!

@alevy123

Mine just goes to the page where I have to pay $30 to reserve it, I’ll attach a screenshot.

I think all of us are getting a little anxious, but I don’t get any indicators of seeing my major or admit.

@Eviity I, along with everyone else getting the message I think, am getting the unsure of enrollment message after pressing submit (for the single undergraduate student option) on the page you screenshotted

@eviity have you tried clicking “submit”?
When I click on it, it says “unsure of enrollment status”.

Yeah, I think it’s a little too early to be looking for signs. I read somewhere that the official decisions will be released on the 19th.

@Eviity Yeah, that’s as far as I am able to get!

@Katdawg1 Well, judging on that, I would say that you are in. “As a UCLA student you are entitled to a free UCLA email account from bruin online.”

@cwtina1234 yes, I know but I think we just wanna kill time lol

@bsfswisher

I get "We are unsure of your enrollment status. The housing office has been notified and will fix the problem by the end of the next buisness day. Sorry for the inconvenience. " But the other clicks give me a date to reserve. I think its too early to tell, after all we are still two weeks away!

@katdawg1

I just logged on to the USRA website and it automatically directed me to a page with my ucla email address! I checked last night and it was my old yahoo account also.

I’ve been playing around with the website, and it allows me to add/drop classes for the summer term. Can anyone else do this?

@sarah97
Exactly same here. I am able to add class for the summer session.
I just created the USRA account. The first time i logged in, i saw the " Financial Aid Document Tracking" thing, but I did not submit a FASFA.
I have access to housing application, but can’t apply for single housing. It says unsure of your enrollment status.
I also have access to myULCA, the banner is just white/ blank? I am not sure if i made the summer session trick by just clicking every link under the Academic section on USRA? But i didn’t do anything else. I think it autmatically directed me there after i clicked class planner.

The first time i logged on to USRA, it only showed my original email address. The second time I logged in, it directed me to a page with my ucla email address. It’s the same as my user name for USRA. I don’t know it means anything.

Just popping in that all these misspellings have me rolling… USRA and ULCA? Not sure what school you all are longing to get into. lol

@OpaqueApotheosis Is picking on people really necessary ? If you don’t like the way the thread is going then don’t ‘pop’ in.
@yymbio I think for the summer trick to work you have to ALMOST enroll in summer classes and then log out. When you log back in, they will prompt you for a UCLA email address. If it happened without the summer trick then that is a really good sign :)

@Opaque Unfortunately, the joke is on you haha. URSA is UCLA’s system. URSA- University Records System Access.

Feel free to enlighten yourself.

@cwtina1234
I got the UCLA email address before trying to add a summer class.

@OpaqueApotheosis
I don’t understand why one has to be so picky on misspelling.

@yymbio Did you go to the enrollment menu and enter summer 2013 and press submit? Trying to enroll in a class is not what gets you the email address. It just gets you a $150 fee!

If you mess around with the enrollment menu option and click on Summer 2013, it will prompt you for a email once you log out and log back in. If you did not do that,then you have a early sign from UCLA. Congrats!

Well I can’t log on to myUCLA at all. However, posts in this thread from last year indicate that others couldn’t as well right up to 4/20 and still got accepted. TBH, none of these methods seem valid except the one where you are able to view your FAFSA summary with details.

@Cwtina How do you mess with the enrollment to get access to myUCLA?

@cwtina1234
I don’t remember what I did. I think i went back to the main menu after I saw the message that a fee of $150 would be posted if the class was dropped later. I don’t think I clicked the submit button at that time. But i was able to open myUCLA page when I clicked the “class planner” and the banner was blank. The second time I logged back on URSA, the email address was there, and I saw Sasrah97’s post. Without knowing that’s the trick to get what you mentioned above, I tried and was able to add a class. I subsequently dropped the class, but I guess I have a $150 fee to pay now. I just reopened myUCLA page, and the banner reads “Summer sessions student, unknown, session” as for now. Since i am not sure what exactly I did, i would assume it’s not a good sign, but a result of my messing around with the menu options.

Okay. I have access to the myUCLA page. You weren’t suppose to add the class. You were just supposed to press continue on the one thing. Right before you click add on a class, you log out.
