^^ Uh oh. The stats class is going to hurt you. Out of sympathy and concern(and I know its a stressful time), I’m not going to say that you will be rejected FOR SURE. But it seems to be a consistent trend so far that if you had like English(critical thinking) or math(stats etc etc), the most basic requirements IP this semester than you would be rejected. If you start reading this thread from March 19ish when the decisions started coming out, you will see the rejections, one of which was like a 3.9+ gpa but had math IP. I guess to the UCs they kind of think, “why did this person wait 2-3 years to take the most basic math and english requirement.” You know? All I can say though is good luck and hope for the best!

Have you been admitted to any other campuses?

efff i have worked so hard, I don’t want to be rejected! I have gotten into ucsc. I just couldn’t take it before.

^^ Okay well at least you’ve gotten something so far. Yeah I know classes are hard to get but there’s nothing you can do at this point. Just hang in there for another 2 weeks and you’ll know. If you’re thinking of sticking out cc for another year just to get into the school you really want(I know, stupid, but just in case) I would not recommend it because of the CSU freeze for 2013. The freeze is going to affect CSUs and UCs, it’s just going to be that much harder to transfer. So if you get accepted somewhere I say just take it and run. Good luck!

Thanks for the help, I definitely won’t be sticking around. I mean I got offered a few scholarship things for UCLA, so I am hoping that I will at least get in there. I will just have to wait and see!

I am so sad when I knew I was rejected from UCSB accounting major. I thought I would in for sure. Now I can only go to UCI business. I love Accounting so much.

@lulu1127 Doesn’t UCI have accounting as a minor? You could stll take accounting classes there.

Finally received my decision- Bad news.

Decision: Rejected
CCC Transfer
UC GPA: 3.545
Major Pre-Reqs: Missed a lot, didn’t bother taking the for UCSB because I didn’t plan on attending.
Intended Major: Pre-Biology
TAG: Nope
IGETC: Finished

Not really that surprised, to be honest. I’m shooting for UCSC and having been completing pre-reqs for them, but they are SO different from any other UC. Also, I have out of state coursework, and took (and passed with an A+) Critical Thinking this semester. Kind of a bummer thought that it is the FIRST UC I’ve heard back from…Sigh…0/1.

@lulu1127 i was rejected from UCSB econ/accounting too ><… soooooooooo sad cuz ucsb is such a beautiful school

@ kingdomsroa: Oh man, sorry to hear that. I know you’ve been waiting for a long time. Hopefully you have better luck with SC though.

I feel your pain kingdom!

@fionuhh
Yeah, i am in business admin major now so I cannot choose accounting minor, but I can choose to be specializing in accounting. Hope I can finish accounting class for CPA in UCI.

@iDizzle- Thanks, I appreciate it. Just hoping I receive better news from UCSC. I probably will. Once/if I do, UCSB’s (and potentially UCI)'s rejections will be irrelevant.

@scienceguy- I know! Yeesh…

Oh, and responding to Jpost- I got rejected today, 4/16.

@kingdom
boo hoo. well, we know you want to get into UCSC. waiting waiting.

Congrats to all that recently got accepted into UCSB. Hope you guys consider going there! It’s such a beautiful place to be xD
@lulu1127, did you get into UCI Business school? If so you shouldn’t feel too sad that UCSB didn’t offer you admissions! You can take your Accounting classes at UCI, and it would be enough for you to sit for CPA exam.

@FallingDown
Thank you Fallingdown, I was admitted into UCI business admin major. This major is not allowed to have minor in accounting. BUt UCI said I can choose to “specializing in accounting” then I will be able to take some accounting courses. I think maybe it still can help me to sit for CPA exam.
