Accepted!! Poli Sci major from CCC. are there any transfer students out there who attend UCSB using post 9/11 GI Bill?

Congrats man… I’m using the Post 9/11 but I plan on transferring next year.

Are you currently using GI bill at a university? I’m just curious if there are any problems getting the money or if there are some things it won’t cover like fees or the like.

@alevy
thanks! now i remember, it was yale, harvard, and stanford who had the cap on 59 units, and usc you needed more, thus i had to juggle and add summer classes PL for USC. sorry, i was too lazy to look it up again. just curious. hope you get in!

Fees? You are covered under the bill unless you have don’t have anymore months remaining on your contract. Post 9/11 covers up to the highest in-state tuition.

Considering going to UCSB, anyone know about where the schools Chemical Engineering program is ranked? The website has an older list where they were top 10. Just trying to compare them to the other schools I will probably get accepted into. Thanks for any help

@Miggaletoe

8

Still waiting for my response as well. For those accepted students, did you check on the website or did you get an email or letter? I got into Cal state long beach and I’m pleased with that. =)

@Basco I checked the website randomly one day and saw I was accepted. The next day I received an email, a week later my acceptance letter came in the mail. The email I received did not say I was accepted though, just invited me to some open house type thing.

@LAforLife Awesome thanks for the help. Attempting to search for those rankings just gives me the run around. Majority of the results were for older rankings, or only top 5 and asking me to pay for anything more.

I really appreciate it as it may make my decision to not go to Berkeley(If I get in) a lot easier.

@Miggaletoe
No problem.
But you should know that Berkley is actually tied for #2 on that ranking. :D

Thanks Miggaletoe. I applied to Berkeley too. And I guess a week from Friday you check the website. I’d choose UCSB over Cal.

Yea but Berkeley is far away from my family, and UCSB has other qualities that I like. So if its close at all I think I will pick UCSB.

I’m still awaiting my decision from UCSB and it is driving me insane.

Anyone know when the next wave of decisions is supposed to be? It’s difficult for me to find in this thread. Thanks!

@Zuydhoek: UCSB is one of those schools that is releasing decisions daily. So to answer your question…tomorrow? lol

I just heard a rumor that people are being wait-listed. I am still decision pending so this has me FREAKING out! I am at the point that I wish they would’ve denied me early on the wait is killing me!!!

im pretty sure wait-listed and still pending are the same. At least thats what Ive been told. In any cse im “Decision Pending” as well. UCSD UCR UCSC already accepted me

@ Dremaniac: How about I trade you you’re UCSD acceptance for my UCSB acceptance =]. lolll

still pending…***

Well the Admissions office tells me that Decision Pending means no one has seen your application yet. And this person’s UCSB portal says wait-listed. I really hope it doesn’t mean wait-listed, I will choose Cal Poly if that’s the case.

Hey everyone! I didn’t realize there was this message board otherwise I would of responded earlier!!

Decision: Admitted on March 21st
Major: English
GPA: 4.0
Tag: No
Pre-Reqs: Yes

I love UCSB! If I dont get into my top two then UCSB here I come!! Is anyone else English majors and have heard about the program there?!

Congrats to everyone who got in and to those still pending, good luck!! I know they haven’t finished choosing and telling students!
