<p>Clamfest, I have a feeling they’re starting with high GPAs and then decreasing. Lowest I’ve seen is a 3.47.</p>
<p>They recalculated my gpa because I had taken a class I got AP credit for. So I guess the lowest is 3.46</p>

<p>Welps, my major is Vis Arts and my gpa is around a 3.3. I don’t know exactly what it is because I never calculated it correctly since I had one year at ucsc and then the second at a CCC. I haven’t seen anybody in for my major at all :P</p>

<p>Omg yeah! I remember seeing a 3.19 too. Im at a 3.3 Sociology major too…but I can’t really say if they will be accepting anyone below a 3.3 GPA. Maybe…but I dont doubt it.</p>

<p>I’m kinda in the same boat as you clamfest… I’m waitlisted at both UCSD and UCI so I’m still waiting… UCSD is my dream school though. I’d SIR right away if I get in!</p>
<p>I know I’m a little late jumping in on this thread, but I’ve been reading and rechecking it intently nonetheless…I’m probably going to return the grueling cycle that has become my life: refreshing the app. page only to have the freaking waitlist confirm. page show up each time, then check ms. sun’s blog, then re-check back here. </p>
<p>Anyway…I’m English major/ 3.5 GPA/ CC transfer/ </p>
<p>I’m also extremely frustrated at what a counselor told me yesterday: “UCSD is not admitting anyone from the waitlist” so I replied to her: “Are you sure you’re not referring to the frosh admit stats?” I mean from what insider info did she base this conjecture??? And to clearly see that she was false today with the reports of admits from waitlist today has only watered the already full grown plant of anxiety in my head!!! Gahh, sorry I had to share these thoughts of uncertainty with someone!!!</p>

<p>@UCkat89: UCSD admissions people are really rude and annoying and really don’t know what they’re talking about half the time. With a 3.5, you have a great chance! don’t worry.</p>
