I’m not sure, I only know about some people not having to pay a fee because of what I’ve seen in other Fall 2012 UC decisions threads

@adriecali

Yep, I am going to send it. Maybe if they get multiple messages about it they will extend our deadline. It would suck to get accepted, then unable to SIR for something beyond our control.

@dostranvia, it means that I’m accepted, right? and I don’t need to do anything else? Strange thing is, I haven’t receiving anything regarding housing yet, and I really want my own room. D:

You’re into Marshall also? Yay, let’s be bestie. j/k :p

The email for admission transfer inquiries is

transferinfo@ad.ucsd.edu

The funny thing is that they dont accept attachments. LOL. Could anything else be working against us at this point?!

@Funnyordie, I’m pretty sure it does. And well, I started looking at my financial aid papers already and started filling out what I need to. The Dependent Verification forms and the IRS Student/Parent data thingg. But in regards to housing, no I haven’t really received anything yet. I emailed the village and asked them about it, and they said our contracts come out the same time as every other transfer’s who turned SIRed on time? But I think our problem is just we can’t access our UCSD emails haha. However, if you try going to the Housing status link, it’ll say something like if we don’t receive anything by the 15th… we for sure have to call it in!

And yess I am!
If we do cross paths with each other, it’s nice meeting you! :D

@Actraiin

We’re not supposed to get anything for housing until sometime around mid-June (my guess 6/15-20). That’s what the message says when you click Apply on the housing drop down menu anyway.

“The Village Housing Office was notified that you were offered an admission to UC San Diego from the Admission Waitlist. Therefore, an on-time housing application has been entered for you. If you accept admission you should receive a housing contract offer in mid-June along with all the other transfers with on-time housing applications. If you do not receive a housing contract offer via your UCSD email account by June 15th, please call our office at 858-534-9380.”

@Funnyordie

Yes, it is based on your family income–the information you put into FAFSA. SO, if you didn’t pay for the $100 SIR fee, it is because of that reason :). I read this somewhere while I was looking around the UCSD site.

randroid: OMG this is so cruel! I can’t believe this ****! how do you know they don’t accept attachments? I send out emails to the address you referred me to and also the admissions address… so desperate.

and I’m also in Marshall guys!
(well I’m supposed to anyways) :’(

@shiitzzz, thanks for the replying. I haven’t done the Financial Aids yet for SD because I didn’t think I would get in. Does it have anything to do with Statement of Legal Resident? I’m pretty sure you have to fill out the income portion.

Wow, why is the Dean for the Marshall college so generous? So many people got accepted on the waiting list. ^_^

ok deadline finally passed and I couldn’t SIR right. I’m so sad right now
and my phone died today so I couldn’t call anyone. worst day ever. sorry for ranting a lot!

Whaat, looks like most of you guys are in Marshall. Roosevelt anyone? Holllaaa :P. Also, anyone looking into living in West Village–more and better Ocean View apartments there! Sounds so amazing…ahh I’m so excited :D!!

@funnyordie
No worries! Oh, well, its probably from when you applied to the UC’s back in November, I remember the application briefly asked about family income. I doubt it has anything to do with the SLR.

Hahahaha! ERC is close to the Village though so that’s good ! And yeahh, I was considering the West Village too but, the East has more singles … and also it has this nice ass terrace on the 13th floor! :33 I also heard East Village have bigger rooms too apparently?

@Adriecali

It said “inquiries only, no attachments” on the website. But I’m not too worried there are probably other non-CC transfer students who are experiencing the same thing so I’m sure admissions willl be notified multiple times about this

@Shiizzz

I’m got into Roosevelt too (:

@randroid: oh loll okay I really hope so! FINGERSCROSSED its unfair to not give us the opportunity to SIR since the site literally said it would be operating until June 10 11.59 pm jeez… btw did u SIR anywhere else?

@dostranvia

Hey!! Why the “Hahahaha!” lolz? Don’t hateee, we all Tritons in the end :P. And yeah there are perks to both I guess…dayum, it’s gonna be hard to choose!! I’m gonna ask my friend who already goes to SD and see what’s up with that ishh.

@adrie, why did you wait til the last day though? I thought you have 3 days to reply, sorry if it’s too personal. :(

@randroid

YAAAAY
whassup whassup haha

Oh and I’m pretty sure they will give you guys tomorrow to try again. Let us know when they contact you guys and what they say!!

@Adriecali

Yeah it was poor planning on their part. Then again, having our three-day deadline include a Saturday and Sunday was a poor decision as well. Weekdays are much better for actually getting in contact with them.

I SIRed to UC Irvine, how about you?

Sent from my HTC Evo 3D using CC

@randroid, I SIRed to SB as well. Have you canceled or are in the process of cancelling your SIR to UCI? lol. And did you make your $100 deposit for UCI already as well? :O

@dostranvia

OOH!! haha my bad…well I’m glad we made you laugh lolz :P. YEAAH! Haha, it’s really cool how they did the 6 college system. I dig it!! And yes, thank god for IGETC :). Mee too!! I have been looking for daysss…but I just can’t decide…let me know what you’re deciding on!!
