^ sounds good! and yes I’m filling out the contract thing for the village right now :D

@Nitole: ohh i haven’t received any email for the housing contract yet
and i still don’t know which is better (east or west village) :S the single rooms are positively out though right? I really wanted a single room…

^Thats what I’ve heard but I dont know for sure (it’s probably true though). I checked that I would prefer a single anyway :P

@Nitole

I just signed my contract and sent my deposit as well!! YAAAY I’M SO EXCITED :)

I heard it costs a lot. 650? That’s crazy! My freshmen year people were paying 200 tops for their UC’s. Sounds crazy

Yeah I wasnt expecting to have to pay that TODAY with no aid… I cringed when I clicked the button. bye bye savings…

YEahhhh the price kills me too…but SD is my dream school lol so it’s totally worth it in my opinion.

And when was the money due? Like when is your whole housing deadline?

By June 24th I believe…so not too long from now.

wow I hope anyone on the waitlist gets more time; assuming we’d get accepted of course D:

I doubt it
I think they’d give all the waitlisters an equal time frame to turn in the deposit. Can’t hurt to hope though :)!

Anyone who filled out the form and payed the deposit; have you heard from the Village yet regarding your room assignments? My UCSD email won’t be set up until about 8pm tonight according to the helpdesk and that’s where they email you.

@clamfest; its June 29th btw not 24th. Lol my bad! SO they give us about 2.5 weeks.

@shizz the letter says we would get to choose our rooms and that more instructions will come out in july

Thank you Actraiin!!

@Actraiin super thank you for thatt! I was worried too because I still don’t have access to my UCSD email ! Ahhh. :(( And yay, just submitted my contract and deposit as well! ^___^ Sooo stoked you guys! Kekeke.

@shiizzz, btw have you figured out where you wanted to be yet?! hehehe.

@dostranvia

Yaa haha
I’d rather have my own room than ocean view so I’m gonna try getting East Village single + ocean view, if not just a single + normal view is fine haha. So East Village is my number one, and if I can’t find what I want, then WV it is.

I was thinking East Village:BLDG 1, LEVEL 13 & BLDG 4, LEVEL 5
West Village: BLDG 1, LEVEL 13 + 14 & BLDG 5, LEVEL 3 & BLDG 7, LEVEL 3+4 & BLDG 8, LEVEL 2. Trying to avoid floors with RA’s haha.

How about you:P?

@Clamfest, you sound a lot like me. are you also vis arts major?

I am also looking to do film, and pretty inexperienced on technical stuff, and looking to go to a real film school (MFA) after I graduate.
I really think SD’s program is a great way to start, as it seems quite versatile, and kinda experimental but still one of the top 10 visual arts programs in the nation. Besides you get to meet with people from different concentrations like computer artists and photographers
I hope it is as good as it seems.
Anyways good luck with everything.

And good luck to everyone who’s waiting.

@Lanquide: Yep! Sure am! We seem to have the same plan haha. Yeah I’m just looking to get my feet wet in the film stuff. Hopefully it does work out, but I’m not so sure anymore. Seems like a bad outlook

im so jealous of you guys. my summer is starting off to be the worst ever, and an acceptance from UCSD would have made it okay.

sometimes I wish I would have just SIR’d to UCR so I wouldn’t have to leave the IE. IM SCARED :(

@uchappytrain same here
if i get rejected, it’s another year at smc for me…
