Got the admit packet in the mail yesterday, I guess they weren’t kidding.

asked on twitter when the next batch would be released…

“Next release of transfer application decisions scheduled for mid-April; final release at end of April” - UCSD twitter

Mid-April? @______@ I don’t know if I can wait that long, the anticipation is killing me already!

^ wow. that’s lame. i wonder why there’s such a huge gap.

I got in UCSD, now waiting for UCLA… what do you guys think, which one is better for math/econ?

Hey guys! My twin sister got in to UCSD and I’m waiting for my decision now.
-Do you think I’ll get in? Our GPA is like 3 point difference (I went to a UC for my first year and she stayed at the CCC for 2 years)
-Also for those that haven’t heard from UCSD yet, when you click admissions on myapplication.ucsd.edu, does it take you to the “prospective student” page? That’s what keeps on happening for me and I don’t know if it’s normal or not
Thanks guys!

^^^ It still says they’re evaluating applications on my screen, and I’m still pending as well.

Clamfest, stats and major please!

-Vis Arts Major (both of us)
-I had a 3.5 at the end of the semester and at UCSC (my first year) I had around a 3.0
-IGETC done by the end of Spring
-No pre reqs for the major

-My sister and I took the same classes this semester except for 2. We’re pretty much the same, except her GPA is better, because I went to a UC my first year and was getting adjusted to the system :P

Yeah it doesn’t say that on my screen. As soon as I click admissions it just goes straight to the prospective student page and doesn’t say anywhere about evaluating more applications =/

Thanks again guys! :)

Good stats your major isn’t impacted either! Good shot!

do we get emails if we DON’T get in…?

^When I was a senior in hs applying to UCSD, all I got was an email telling me that decisions were out and that I should check the admissions portal (didn’t tell me the decision in the email, and I was rejected when I checked). They just don’t send you a snail mail letter if you don’t get in.

Thanks AcousticKitty! I’m just really nervous and scared that they’re going to treat my application like a UC transfer and maybe that’s why my twin sis found out before me…Her folder came in today and obviously I didn’t get one! D: I don’t know how schools treat twins applying so I dunno.
I still can’t access the admissions page so I guess that adds to the anxiety xD
Good luck to everyone! I see a lot of smart people here! xD

For those transfer applicants who are still waiting for UCSD next batch, should we stop checking the UCSD myapp until the mid-April?

I don’t know if they still release the decisions everyday or wait until mid-Apr to do that.

And do you think that who ain’t in the first batch could miss the chance to get into the first school choice, or perhaps gotta choose the alter-major ?

You’re welcome clamfest! I know it’s hard not to worry but I doubt they’d even notice that you have a twin sister applying to the same school! Did you TAG? Even if you didn’t, no worries.

@mango: Hm I don’t know. I know UCSD releases decisions in batches. And they probably have a date to release admissions. I think their twitter page said April. Just 11.5 days away lol

@Acoustic: huh? Is it mid-Apr or beginning of Apr ?

@AcousticKitty: No TAG for either of us. We just applied as regular transfers. Hmm I didn’t know that. I thought they would be more aware haha.

So if the next batch is in April, that means from today until the beginning of April, no more decisions are posted?
