anyone else getting that when logging in?

Got the same “system error message” just now.

i can’t even get on the housing app page…hopefully this means something.

they said 3-4 batches. that could be a new batch each week.

we know the last batch is 4/30 so that leaves 3 more batches, they said mid april though is the thing…surely they wouldn’t release 3 batches in a span of 1-2 weeks…

messaged changed:

Thank you for your application to UC San Diego. We are currently reviewing applications for transfer admission for the Fall 2012 quarter.

At this time, we request that applicants do not submit any supplemental materials such as letters of recommendation and transcripts, since these will not be reviewed.

**
Decisions for transfer applicants will be posted beginning in mid-March and continuing through the end of April. Please check back later in the spring for updates and the status of your application.

Important note for all transfer applicants: You received a communication from the UC Central Processor in mid-January which provided details about the Application Update form covering your completed coursework for the Fall term, and your planned/proposed coursework for Winter and/or Spring terms. This is a required form and the priority deadline to submit it is January 31. If you submit the Application Update form after January 31, the information on it may not be reviewed or considered, which can adversely affect your admission decision. Please check this site later in the spring for updates regarding the status of your application.**

I guess we are all waiting another week then :(

^^ Yeah it sucks. But I mean its down to the wire now so one more month at the most!

haha donno how much longer i can wait D:

I’m going insane waiting…any 3.3+ non-tags still waiting anxiously?!

^ me 3.4 non tagged :(

^^3.49, no tag.

3.4, not tagged

i think we’re all in the same boat here.

they’re probably going to start releasing decisions for us soon.

but then again, this all just seems completely arbitrary. luckily i’m in ucsb and ucsc so i feel content!

@scheist: Same here. But if I don’t get into LA, irvine or SD than I’m choosing SFSU over SB or SC. lol

3.35 non tag

my body is ready. angus is also peppered.

they probably release for all 3.3-3.5 people the decision on the last day.

I’m pretty sure that those with 3.4ish type gpas who have igetc and their major reqs and basically could have been tagd if it werent for the GPA being under 3.5 will get in…
I have also heard of people being rejected from SD but getting into LA since LA reads the PS which can make the difference…
you just never know! :(

Rejected from SD but into LA??? ^^^

srs??

…da ■■■…

is such a thing even possible?

are they aliens?

pls respond.

i think in addition to gpa and sat scores, they are looking for a certain “type” of person personality-wise when they do admissions. ie it’s pretty obvious that santa cruz and san diego are looking for two entirely different kind of personalities. 1, i’m sure they’re picking and choosing because they have the opportunity to turn the campus into whatever they want it to be by the students they admit, but 2, i think they’re looking for people who will “fit in” and be genuinely happy there. i’ve already read tons of stories of people transferring UC-to-UC just because they don’t fit in there. i think that probably accounts for why people get admitted to a ridiculously prestigious UC but denied from one they didn’t think was as selective.

^ Looking at personality? UC’s? Are you kidding?

MAYBE Berkeley and/or UCLA, but all the others (and B/LA) look mainly at GPA and how you match up. Doubt the others even read your essay. Just grades, pre-reqs, guarantee program, IGETC.

If you want to go to a school that weighs in more on your essay/EC’s, apply to some private schools (USC).

Omg this is April already. So we have to wait another 2 weeks for the next batch release (‘oo’)

Cannot even enjoy my spring break :(
