I am so nervous.

and I will honestly be so annoyed if I don’t get in. If I had gotten an A instead of a B+ in one of my classes I wouldve been tag eligible…

@AB12345: The same thing happened to my TAG! I got a B in one class last semester and it brought me down to a 3.48!!! OMG I was looking everywhere for someone in the same situation. What do you think will happen?

@smidz man at least you put in an application. My counselor sucks and screwed me over. I have over a 3.5 and will have igetc done(just one more class) but unfortunately since my counselor said that because I didn’t have all the major pre reqs done on assist I did not fulfill ucsd’s tag and would not waste an appointment to fill it out with me. So I’m going in as normal admit when I could have tagged

@Actraiin
isn’t your counselor just saving you of a TAG rejection? i thought in order to tag, you need all the pre-reqs finished for the major.

Ucsd is just 3.5 and igetc from what I’ve read

As per ucsd’s tag brochure

http://admissions.ucsd.edu/TagBrochure.pdf

Sorry for the double post no edit button on my iphone

Holy $%@T. This is taking so long. Longest days of my life >.>

@Actraiin: I don’t have many of UCSD’s pre reqs done-- I am pretty sure you don’t need them for TAG. Regardless, I feel your pain. Most of the councelors at my ccc have major attitude issues. They made me feel more doubtful than hopeful of getting into ANY UC which totally stressed me out! They don’t take into account that they are possibly fudging up a student’s academic career. Whatever the case, I am hopeful you’ll get into a great school despite your councelors mistake. Have you heard back from anyone yet?

Dont worry guys. If you have over a 3.5, I heard they would consider you a TAG applicant.

No I havent. Haha waiting Just like everyone else. Hoping I get into Ucsd soon since technically I qualify for tag haha

@acoustickitty
consider as a tag applicant without even applying for tag? lol

@RUFFLZ: I’m going to have to agree with you on that. There’s a reason why starting this year, applicants are only allowed to apply TAG to one UC. Last year when you filled out a TAG application, it would apply to all the schools.

Yes, Rufflz. Read it again if you don’t get it. If you have IGETC done and have a 3.5+, they would probably review your application as a TAG applicant.

@acoustickitty
I clearly understood what you wrote the first time.
However, I feel like students with merely a 3.5, 3.6 w/o a tag would struggle to get the greenlight because of the priority and guarantee given to TAG-ers. By the time they have accepted the overwhelming amount of TAGs, the limited space left for the rest will be given to the highest gpa ~3.8-4.0

@Smidzz- I’m hoping they’ll just look over my app and realize that I was so close and take a chance on me?! hah & I did say on the update thing…the comments section that I was very close and although I checked “TAG eligible” on the app…it turns out I’m not because of a B…since I didn’t know my grades until after the app was due…I can’t even speak proper english/communicate right now I feel like I’m getting dumber and dumber everyday…

I see. NOT ALL but I’d say they have a pretty good chance…now I’m kinda worrying about getting in with a 3.34 LOLOLOL and my major isn’t impacted.

@acoustickitty
if you get in, congrats; it happened for a reason.
if you don’t get in, don’t fret; it happened for a reason.
right? haha :)

@Rufflz: EXACTLY! I’m not gonna sit here and cry lolol I already got into UCSB which I heard is pretty!
Saw a couple 3.3’s slide in last year so hey, whatever happens happens.
What major are you applying with?!
