** 2012 UCSD Transfer Decisions Thread **

@rufflz I think you’re underestimating the amount of people Ucsd is going to accept. If half the applicants have higher than a 3.33, and half the applicants is about 7500. Also knowing that Ucsd is going to accept the same amount of people as last year ~7000 I think there are plenty of spots for non tag people within the 3.3-3.4 range

^Good point Actraiin. I agree.

@AB12345: I’m in the same position as you. I applied for TAG and marked it on my application but even with the 5 A’s I got in the Fall I only had a 3.49 gpa when I submitted the TAU…wah wah wahhh. LOL.

Hopefully Ucsd just gives us the benefit of the doubt and just accepts us.

LOLL UCSD should just accept us all!

My admission status just changed!!!

Accepted!!!

What major?

lol jk April 6th fools!!!

i love u pls respond

Lmao. Fell for it.

got me. congrats snizzle

that wasn’t even funny.

Has anyone heard back yet?

I don’t think anyone has. Is SD your 1st choice smidzz?

I called today (yeah i get ****ed once every few weeks and just call all the schools I’m pending at) and the “admissions counselor” was as useful as a bag of wet hair.

I asked him If he knew roughly when the batches come out he said oh I have no clue–ok, i give him that one. I then asked if UCSD is following the holistic review process and/or if they are using UCB/UCLA’s evalutaions to make their decisions (as rumors have it). He said oh well i have no clue, but uh, each UC has their own way of evaluating applications. I ask ok, and what is the process at UCSD? “uhhh I’m not sure”. And he couldn’t even tell me whether or not Psych is impacted at UCSD…really?

^That’s why they call UCSD “University of Slow Decisions”
