A fixed gear at UCSD is a horrible idea. There are hills all over the place. Anyone with a fixed gear at UCSD should be kicked out for lack of intelligence.

For those still waiting, UCSD Admissions twitter:

“The mid-April release of remaining transfer application decisions has been moved back to end of 3rd week in April.”

Speculating that they release on a Saturday like the first batch, that’s the 20th which means ~11 more days.

^^ Saturday is the 21st. That’s one more whole day of waiting!!! Lol

hills in san francisco. [/theend]

so anyways, that sucks! That means decisions would originally come out this weekend! thanks for that update jay.

@Actraiin–No, I wasnt kidding you. I don’t spend all day reading every post so all I saw were a few pages of people excited about getting accepted. Thanks for the uplifting response though.

Is anyone else tallying the days until April 21? Lolol

are the UCSD admissions waiting for the UCLA decision to come out first, so they can give better estimate of who going to SIR their school? lol

Aww no
at least it’ll be only be a week between that batch and the last batch though.

Sucks that housing’s due May 1st too

The SIR/SLR/Housing deadline is June 1st for transfers. : )

So they are going to release all decisions on the 21st? Or just some and then another batch?

Omg, that means I need to overcome my second math test before the release. In some sense, it is good to me. But I want to know earlier Y.Y

It’s okay guys. It’s just 11.5 days away.

so next weekend is Davis, UCLA, and UCSD then the week after that is UCI and UCB?

wtheck???

I was accepted March 17th, but wasn’t made aware until an email from them March 20 or so. UC Berkeley is my 1st choice school.

•UC GPA: 3.72
•Major Pre-reqs Completed: I believe all of them that were available, except for maybe one.
•Intended Major: Chemical Engineering
•TAG?: Nope
•IGETC?: Nope
Subjective:
•Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Engineering club (1st place against UC Davis), physics lecturer, tutor, teacher’s assistant, Organic Chemistry honor’s student
•Job/Work Experience: Stated above, I also have an internship at the DOE.
•Volunteer/Community service: Not much.
•Personal Statement: Rather strong, I believe. My fiancee was sick for a good portion of my community college life.
Other
•Applied for Financial Aid?: No
•State (if domestic applicant): California
•School Type: Community College? Sierra College, Rocklin. It’s in the top 1% of community colleges in country.
•Ethnicity: White
•Gender: Male
•Hooks (URM, first generation college, research, etc.): I’m not quite sure. I believe being a physics lecturer (I created the position), I scored in the 99th percentile for my American Chemical Society exam, etc.
•Attending Transfer Admit Day? (if admitted): No, I will have my internship.
Reflection
•Strengths: Strong essay, strong extracurriculars
•Weaknesses: Low GPA. I had to take care of my fiancee for 2 years of my college career.
