** 2012 UCSD Transfer Decisions Thread **

welcome to hell. see you all there on april 30 where their servers will crash and lag to death. good luck checking your admission status that day

maybe they are still going to release some this saturday and they just updated the message so those who didnt receive a decision on sat will know when the next batch comes out  or maybe i’m being too optimistic :/

I think the servers will be fine on the 30th. They did great on Mar 17th when all the freshman were checking, plus us transfers.

It’s pretty crazy that it’s almost time for Berkeley and the last few batches of SD. I still remember getting all excited on Oct 1st because I could fill out the UC app.

I was hoping that my first post was more like “OMG, I was admitted, bs, bs, bs”.

I was compelled to clarify the status of UCSD’s batch release. Their twitter page, which you can find here ([Twitter](http://twitter.com/#!/ucsdadmission)) says:

“Update: The mid-April release of remaining transfer application decisions has been moved back to end of 3rd week in April.”

their latest tweet says: “See previous post - by end of April is official release date. Questions? Contact an Admissions Officer”

Interpret as you will. I think we will see some decisions release this week.

But the previous post they were referring to was

@UCSDAdmission: Transfer applicants, decisions will be released by the end of April. See timeline for official date range. [Application & Admission Timeline: Transfer Students](http://www.ucsd.edu/prospective-students/transfers/timeline.html)

It’s still really vague but you never know. With ucla releasing decisions friday maybe Ucsd will release some after ruling out some ucla admits

ucd is friday too.

uci is next week?

UCI is is may…haha kiddding?

^ who knows . UCI is the slowest of them all

The fact that they keep pushing the release date back and choose to use the “look at the decision timeline” excuse is completely annoying. It would be helpful to know this weekend.

It could be very true they’re waiting for UCLA decisions, some people weren’t tagged&rejected to SD but got into UCLA. Honestly you’d think with the $490 I paid for my applications to be looked at it’d come a little quicker.
UC Slow Decisions strikes again

Has anyone tried calling them asking about the next batch release date ? I have called them this afternoon and nobody picked up the phone, thats weird.

:(

I think they’re still going to release some on sat. They didn’t say they were pushing anything back like the other post. Maybe they just meant they’ll have all of them out by the 30th.

Well I emailed them about decisions and here is the response i got
“Thank you for your inquiry. UC San Diego is currently working on transfer decisions for Fall 12 term. We are hoping to release decisions by the end of the week, but if we are unable to you will hear your admission decision by April 30, 2012.”

So looks like we are getting some sort of decisions at the end of this week…maybe?

mother effers. i applied to minnesota this march and I already got a decision letter, and i lagged turning in my transcripts. UCs are too slow, maybe it’s the amount of applications they get?

ucsd is slacking, last year admissions came out faster

^^True. My friend who transferred to UCSD last year (as a PoliSci major), said she got her acceptance around March 20th 2011. Meh :/.

@shiizz does ur friend love ucsd?

PBI @ieatsharks: My friend attends UCSD and hated it for the first 2 years until she joined a co-op. However, she still calls it ‘socially dead’ and though she was going to apply to transfer out, ultimately decided to stay. When I visited, it was quiet and very laid back, from what I observed.

@ postsecret thx for the info ^^ will ucsd before forever stuck with the socially dead label!? , co-op ?

UCSD is a lot like UCI if you know what I mean.
