^^ I’m losing hope. Mine hasn’t changed. I wished I tagged. Stupid ccc counselor.

@Actraiin: just keep hoping. We cannot tell anything until tomorrow night. So don’t lose your hope. :)

The Housing Office currently does not have updated information on your Admission Status and therefore cannot accept a housing application today. You may come back to this link once Admissions has communicated their decision on your application to UC San Diego. You can check this by logging in at myapplication.ucsd.edu.
thats what mine changed too!

I see Ucla application site seems to have more signs to predict the decision than Ucsd has.

Beside the housing in ucsd app site, is there any other thing that we could consider a bad or good sign ?

ugh my housing message is still the old one… are there any examples from past years where the housing thing didn’t change but people still got in? I’m worried :/

@Nitole: it could be because your app has not been reviewed yet, so it doesn’t mean that you get rejected.

still no change in the housing message for me. not a good sign.

so is he housing message change a good sign?

^ Yes, it looks like last year those who saw the change were eventually accepted. But, you wont know for sure until they update your portal.

Just curious, what does it say here for those who aren’t admitted yet?

https://aventeur.ucsd.edu/students/newstudent/orientauth.php

@chew: as I said, those who get the message changed could have the decisions on the end of this week. Those who have not gotten the new message could have the decisions released on 4/30?

Message changing may tell you that your application has been already reviewed, not surely you would get accepted.

Take it ez :)

i tag’d so I’m hoping i get accepted :(

@jdom "The Undergraduate College Newstudent Website is used for orientation registration and first quarter enrollment information.

Please refer to the UCSD myApplication website regarding your admission status to UCSD. If you receive this error after your admission to UCSD has been verified, please contact the UCSD Admission Office regarding your admissions status."

I’m just scared that my counselor may have screwed me over. She told me that I needed my major pre-reqs and igetc done in order to tag Ucsd. But after the deadline I read that you don’t need the major pre-reqs. Only igetc and a 3.5 which I do. So i’m worried that because I didn’t tag I won’t get accepted and Ucsd is my first choice. Before April I was fine thinking that because I met the minimum tag requirements and more I would probably get in. But now I’m on the edge of a breakdown hahaha. So nerve wracking

still the ugly red message. I guess im going to Santa Barbara.

When are decisions coming out for UCSD? They said end of third week in April; here we are… ***? lol

@AB12345: we all have the red message. I thought the red one is the new one

the new message is probably also red but it reads something else.
my message is the old one with the contact phone number of the housing office.

@hrosent1

Thanks, I guess I can’t find a loophole there. : (

@Actraiin

The whole thing with TAG is that the requirements are structured so you would probably get in without TAG anyways. The average GPA of all applicants was 3.3 and average GPA of admitted applicants is somewhere around 3.56. If you’re 3.5+ then you’re sitting in a pretty good place, TAG or not.

So who is calling the admissions office to ask if they are still planning on releasing the 2nd batch today/tomorrow? :)

Someone should call :)
