^ You can do it in the tritonlink area after orientation I believe. It’s pretty easy if you are switching to non-impacted majors, impacted majors will have required classes, GPA cutoffs, and will review the change and get back to you.

fyi, my housing status still says:
“The Housing Office currently does not have updated information on your Admission Status and therefore cannot accept a housing application today. You may come back to this link once Admissions has communicated their decision on your application to UC San Diego. You can check this by logging in at myapplication.ucsd.edu.”

@Jdom24 THX ! Much <3

The hizzle. Still pending… Good lawd

Decision: Accepted

BTW, THIS ISN’T A JOKE!
Just want to show you that no matter your passions or hobbies, as long as your topic is original (not the usual “my mom got cancer, so I want to study and cure it” stuff), critically analyzed and reflected, and you get a GPA near 3.5 (based on my GPA only lol), you will get accepted into UCSD! The personal statement is a way of showing your creative and critical side. They don’t want to accept a narcissistic, dumb, and boring person. Everyone is capable of doing this, just gotta work it!

Objective:[ul]

Had some grammatical errors, but look at me lol.

[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I am bawss.[/li][/ul]General Comments: Don’t trip! UC is a lot easier to get into as a transfer student compared to high school. UCLA and UCB is not hard too. As long as you don’t appear as a selfish and condescending person, and complete ALL (I only didn’t get into UCLA because they are really strict on completing prerequisites) prerequisites (stuff you need before you transfer, not the whole damn list on assist.org unless told to do so), you are in baybee! The wait was a pain in the ass though.

^^ that would be true except USCD states that although they do read the personal statement it is not to determine admission but rather to fill in educational gaps if any. I just think they have a lower gpa floor with less tag applicants. Here’s to hoping haha because I have the same gpa fingers crossed

Would love you to verify that with the link so the upcoming applicants wouldn’t have to suffer like we did. The counselors at my college didn’t give me any helpful information regarding transferring out of college. The flaws of our educational system isn’t budget. It’s the freaking people!

@iluvkimchi: AWESOME! Congrats! You got into an impacted major with a 3.5. Good job :-)

Also, wish you the best mang!

My link is showing the same “still reviewing app” crap

please respond

@snizzle it means they’re not done and will get back to us by the end of April

ACCEPTED.

I couldn’t get the HTML to work but I’m an inter-campus transfer. Hells to the YEAHHHHH goodbye Westwood!

I really hope the rest of the decisions come out tomorrow. Is anyone with a really high gpa and/or tag waiting?

I feel like the next batch will just be all the rejections lol

Does anyone know exactly who decides whether an applicant is admitted to an impacted major? Are the faculty consulted or is it the admissions committee?? I’m surprised I was admitted to an impacted major given I have very few of the pre reqs done.

@daaangit: Awesome! you applied as a Soc major. Why do you want to leave UCLA? My friends transferred there a year ago and they have had nothing but bad things to say about it. They say that competition there is off the roof.
