hey I have a 3.3 too. Hopefully they’re saving all of us 3.3’s for last bc we’re the best! lol

lmao sure hope so. So far it’s been 3.7’s-4.0’s. Then second batch was mostly some 3.4’s and 3.5-3.69’s. Hopefully next batch will be 3.3’s and 3.4’s and HOPEFULLY 3.2’s.

Guys my actual GPA from my UC is a 3.24 (56 units) and my CC Gpa is a 4.00 (6 units nbd). It evens out to a 3.3 right?

Or do they not count it like that? I also have 2 pass or fail classes that i passed…
If it is 3.3 then woo for 3.3 train

Wait, are you an intercampus transfer?

@Actraiin: they have like a 3.8gpa. i dont think they completed igetc, just completed all major prereqs. i dont think igetc is that important… or is it? idk how they got rejected… their major isnt even impacted

^IGETC is sometimes important. You can apply to UCSD without IGETC completed (missing one or two classes) and get accepted. If you apply to UCLA or UCB without IGETC, maybe that’ll be a problem.

For those who are still waiting stay positive and optimistic, the most unexpected things happen. Im still speechless of my admission. I had a low gpa and im an out-of-state transfer. I wish you all the best of luck

@acoustickitty123 yeah I’m an intercampus transfer. But I just started going to junior college for 1 semester and have some winter credits from the junior college.

My acceptance came out at 4/20, what a coincidence! jkjkjkjk

@mrmustache did they complete the other 4 golden classes besides from the 2 English and 1 math?

If you went to both a UC and a CCC, I believe they calculate both GPA’s into one GPA

What were the average GPA’s for Applied students and Accepted students again??

Applied 3.33 accepted is 3.52

For UCSD the average that applied was 3.33 exact. Accepted was I think 3.56? or 3.4 something. Not sure but it wasn’t that high.

Damn I am at the exact average applied. I really hope SD pulls through for me. I seem to have applied for all reach schools :/

I am so effing upset i want to sir and start the housing app like this is ridiculous.

Man, I’m really upset I won’t be able to go to transfer admit day, I have an overnight ecology field trip that goes through that day (ironically I’m taking that class specifically for UCSD). Probably head down and check it out next weekend! Hopefully I will like it better than Davis!

I’m wondering how some of you managed to get accepted when
- Your GPA is barely above a 3.5
- You still have a handful of prerequisites to tackle
- You didn’t complete the IGETC, meaning you didn’t TAG

And I say this with no harm intended (CONGRATS!), because I’m in a bit of a pickle myself. As a prospective Fall '13 admit, I’m wondering if I should prioritize IGETC courses along the end of my stay at CC, so I can be eligible for TAG and increase my likelihood for acceptance (I will only have 2 major prereqs left by that time, and will probably take one over the summer, so that I’ll only have one left by the time I’m [hopefully] at UCSD). I did see that some other engineering majors who were accepted completed IGETC (and thus TAG’d) while having a prereq or two incomplete, so I’m thinking of taking the same route.

3.9 and still pending…can i get a what.the.fucckkk?

^ Yes, you can. Random is random though.

@HotChocolate
