I just looked at the village rates and for a double room its around 10k with a meal plan, that’s like the same as every other UC. I wouldn’t mind that. But i’m worried I won’t get a spot

and idk about my financial aid…I haven’t even gotten accepted yet…

yea but the deadline for apps in June 1st I think so even if we find out last minute well turn them in a month before theyre due…I am so nervous and scared. optimistic thinking is hard.

Pretty sure getting a double at the Village won’t be too difficult. Last year, they had difficulties filling all the “doubles,” so they converted some of them to singles.

Landing a single, on the other hand, will probably be pretty chancy.

why do people not want doubles?! am i the only one who is going in not knowing a huge crowd of people…i mean i know a few at SD but I want to make friends…:(

Yeah same here… But I feel like living in a 5+ person apartment despite a predominantly single-room makeup (Village East) would alone provide a pretty sociable environment.

what apartments are you guys looking at? And has anyone considered ihouse? I feel that would be so cool!

if we get accepted we should make a facebook group for UCSD trasnfers! :p

i cant wait 8 more days! =’[ lol. i dont think i’ll be able to focus in class all week. haha going to be bad for my physics midterm wednesday if i dont hear back by then.

^^ I know! hopefully UCI will come out with my decision early this week and that will help with the wait for friday lol

If (i mean when ;)) I get accepted I would go try to get a single in the village. It is sociable but I would still have my privacy when I want it. :)

I’ll think about housing if i get admitted. Everytime i seem to think ahead, I get kicked by karma…

I always think ahead. I start getting stressed when I dont have a plan. lol I also have my entire next year’s classes picked out so if I get rejected I will be able to TAG with most of my pre-reqs done the following year.

do they allow co-ed dorms in ucsd?

^
“Is there co-ed housing?
Space assignments are based primarily on gender. Continuing transfers have the option to select Gender Inclusive Housing for their second year at The Village. This option is not available for new transfers. All other apartments will consist of one gender, while each floor will be co-ed.”

Are you gunna live at the Village? If so, see you there. : )
