@san
Yeah that does sound like a good idea to take courses at a community college also. Do you know where the nearest jc is from UCSD?

I have a 3.8 and was accepted for Electrical Engineering but into my 3rd choice college, Thurgood Marshall. I wonder why they didn’t let me into Warren?? My bf thinks its because I have a lot of campus leadership and community service experience and Marshall college has that sort of Philosophy. Thoughts??

I’m excited I got into UCSD but sad I did’nt get into Warren or Muir.

@ieatsharks Lucky! Let me know if you find a cool community college near UCSD XD
@ChenJiaXing Good job! You’re going to do awesome. See you there, fellow Triton :smiley:
@Integraballer I have no idea but I’ll start searching for one. I’m going to take a class during summer aswell lol Let me know if you find any and I’ll do the same :D

For the lower gpa worries, don’t just worry yet. My acceptance letter says I must have a 3.0 or above when I’m done with thiws semester and yet I have a 3.8! It didn’t say 3.5 like tag did.

@shrtcakez thanks for that! its really encouraging. Friday seems so far away, I can’t stand this wait anymore 0.o

@san72390 bound to have a CC close by.
Has anyone received their financial aid rewards for ucsd yet?

@San72390 Thank you.

I was thinking about this whole thread setup and I thought, “Should we have say which college we got assigned to?”.

The closest CC to UCSD is San Diego Mesa College I believe.

I saw a “Tweet” by Ms. Sun that UCSD have come out. If we didn’t get accepted in this wave, does it meant that we’re not going to make it into UCSD? And that they just have to give out rejections along with some special cases? My decision hasn’t been rejected – it’s still pending, but now I’m getting kind of nervous!

No, all of the decisions aren’t out yet. People can be accepted all the way until the night of April 30th. And you WILL receive a decision. No one stays pending forever.

Hey everyone. I just checked my UCSD application. I got waitlisted. So just a heads up that they might be releasing more decisions today? They just changed my status today, because I checked yesterday and it was still pending. Good luck everyone!

Wait listed too. =[ ugh

got waitlisted. is this a slim chance? or does everyone get waitlisted lol

WHAT THE HECCCKKKKKK I WAS WAITLISTED TOO. HOW?! I doubt there were a lot of sociology applicants. WTTFF

Are we able to appeal waitlist decisions? =[. This sucks i have ~3.5 i thought i would get in with some of these 3.4s getting in.

I guess they saved all the waitlist for today. At least it’s not a rejection and there’s still a chance. Are all of you guys choosing to do the waitlist 200 words thing? Or you already got accepted into your first choice??

@actraiin, yea I read in the Waitlist FAQs and I believe you can appeal the waitlist option. I’m not sure if I read it wrong or not, I just skimmed.

WOW! Waitlisted? Really? LOL

Eff this. I’m going to UCLA. Funny, my bro got into UCLA, and Cal but didn’t get into UCSD either. LOL

lol @iDizzle, didn’t you get into UCLA??
