** 2012 UCSD Transfer Decisions Thread **

@mhyde, not sure what you mean.

im not going to college for on campus social experience. I’m a transfer not a freshman. I’m 23, i smoke weed, listen to music and do homework - alone.

I’m going to learn, step on whoever i need to to get to where i need to and succeed.

i plan on going to visit you guys in LA to party, then crawl back to my humble above in OC, discrete and simple.

thank you.

i also DGAF about diversity, i am ethiopian and japanese, everywhere i go will be a low percentage of blacks/african americans. I’m done hoping things will change, especially since zimmerman is out on bail.

does anyone on here know if anybody got an official rejection? It looks as if every person got waitlisted…

Waitlisted
3.40 UC GPA
3.33 Major GPA
Psychology
Lots of missing pre-reqs that I could have completed at CC.

Only surprised by the fact that I wasnt flat out rejected with those stats. Not even gonna bother to write the essay, the pre-reqs to declare are rediculous imo. I already SIRed to UCSB anyways.

Good luck to those who were waitlisted who really want to attend UCSD :]

Sent from my HTC Evo 3D using CC

@UCkitty what CC did you go to?

I think UCSD is just waiting for those that are going to SIR to other schools. If spots open they will give us the seats.

when i click on the wait-list opt in form there is a system error. COOL.

san joaquin delta college in stockton, california - proudly.

My friend who is an ECE major was straight up rejected on 4/20 - so yeah. People have been denied admission already.

I’ve been reading through this forum since January, but I did get my acceptance on April 20th around 5pm. I wonder are there still people waiting for their decision?

how are you guys going to word your waitlist message? I’m confused about what I should write.

are they really going to read it? is this like a life or death 200 word essay?

@UCkitty: What! You’re not going to LA man?

To everyone who was waitlisted and actually wants to go to UCSD:

Make sure you let them (UCSD Admissions) know UCSD is your #1 and you are still adamant about attending. Keep in mind most of the people who were accepted with high GPA and/or TAG are probably using UCSD as a safety for UCLA/CAL. They’ll probably be accepted there which might free up some space for you all. Keep your head up, you aren’t rejected yet.

Thanks for the tip, JDom24. It’s not that I’m tired of waiting. We have to SIR some where before June 1 and I sure do hope they let us know from now until June 1 or something…it would be such a waste SIRing to some UC and then getting accepted to UCSD. i have a feeling this year they will be accepting a lot of people off the waitlist. I wonder if they are actually going to read the 200 word statement…

Any 3.0-3.2’s waitlisted?!

omgeez, some of the people on here…UCLA and cal are not the greatest schools in the world in every aspect imaginable. stop being such a lemming and form your own unbiased opinion. if someone wants to go to riverside instead of ucla then maybe you should look into it and maybe you might find that there are things about riverside that are better then ucla

@Acoustickitty123 I have a friend who’s waitlisted under math with a 3.2.

@navymike192

I agree completely. Already SIR’d to UCSD, despite being admitted to LA, Davis, and SC. It’s an amazing school!

I just got wait listed … Does the 200-word statement have to be in essay form or do we just hop into it and type away?

LOL Just found out I got waitlisted. t(^^t) @ UCSD! UCLA Here I come baby
