haha navy, its okay. it is i know shocking someone would choose lower tiers over UCLA, but hey, it happens.

i rather give my spot to someone who would die for the spot…but we will see.

haha id die for a ucsd spot ![]()
sigh sucks lets hope we get into the waitlsit D:

I’m hoping that since almost all of UCSD admits are over a 3.5 that a huge majority will choose to go elsewhere and make room for a TON of us on the waitlist =p. haha

when i applied i was all about UCLA. but as i waited and waited and waited i just kept coming up with more reasons why i would absolutely dread going to UCLA. so now I’m all about UCSD! I’m about 80% sure on sd and 20% on irvine. just waiting to hear back on internships.

Just discovered this: [UC San Diego Campus Specific Admission & Graduation Requirements](http://ccctransfer.org/uc/uc-campuses/uc-san-diego-campus-specific)

“UC San Diego admitted 298 from the waitlist and expect to utilize the waitlist again for fall 2012.”

take it from the girl who is transferring out of a “better ranked” private university than any of the uc’s it’s better to go where you will be happy than where you think is more “prestigious”. The only thing the pseudo-prestige got me was a group of ridiculous stuck up rich people and horrible weather year round. All the UCs are great. Period.

I was really surprised at my admission to UCSD as a bio major. I missed the TAG deadline so I couldn’t TAG anywhere and I was expecting a rejection from UCSD since I’m missing physics/calc2 prereqs. I’m a little worried from reading reviews about Revelle but I have IGETC done and my major will cover the other GE’s so it shouldn’t be so bad. Time to start looking for an apartment!

Good luck to everyone still waiting or on the waitlist.

also as a side note if any of you are literature majors and/or in marshall college im going to davis (or berkeley if a miracle occurs) so hopefully you’ll get my spot :D

A few questions – If waitlisted, how do you know what college that you got waitlisted into? Can anyone tell me? haha. And also, which major (assuming they waitlist you to your major, but probably not.)

@uckitty I have a uc 3.2 gpa and was waitlisted, but will hopefully be a 3.4 by the end of this semester.

@TaLLLuDWiG718
They don’t put you in a college until you are accepted, so whichever one has room when you are accepted. SD doesn’t admit by major, you get into the school then major, but you’ll probably get into your intended major if it’s not impacted.

@nitole 298 with a year there was a TTOOONNN of TAG students. haha not bad. But this year should be different. I mean almost everyone they accepted had over a 3.5 meaning that most of them dont even have UCSD as a first choice (assumption. I guess we’re asses now =p). but i feel like there will be more spots for us on the waitlist than last year. =]

@phanee, i hope you make it!

is admitting 294 people a good or bad thing?

^^ 294 out of the 780 that opted in. but this year is completely different. with a higher tag.

i still don’t know what that means…

is “SIRd” a bad word to use in this 200 word thing…“I would have SIRd”…Im stupid.

^^ use SIR as a noun not a verb. “I would have sent my SIR” along those lines.

@Act I hope you are right
UCSD is definitely my first choice

@AB1 I would type the whole thing out rather than try to abbreviate it.

@nitole UCSD is my first choice too. haha. I can’t believe it’s been two year since i graduated high school and I’m back to where i started, on the waitlist once again. lol. Hopefully this time i get off. =p
