@NavyMike LOL! You spin me round!

You know what’s worse? Opening up your laptop while in class only to find out your friend has pranked you with the website–while the volume was on full blast full screen.

HOLD THE HECK UP. I just got an e-mail saying my decision was posted on the UCSD my application website. this is what the email says:

DID ANYONE ELSE get this?

Officially declined my spot at UCSD to open up space for you waitlisters, I encourage all other accepted applicants who have SIR’d elsewhere to do the same. May the waitlist be ever in your favor.

@acoustickitty123 yeah I got an email like that 11 minutes ago but i found out about being waitlisted at like 11am today. dunno when they updated my status, but they definitely lagged with sending out emails saying they updated

@coustic I think they’re just telling us that we’re waitlisted, that was our decision lol

@acoustic, yeah. at the bottom it said “SIR TODAY!”

^@itspat: Thanks for clarifying
Guess I’m not the only one!

@Acoustic - Yup, just got the same email. It’s just saying to check your status online if you haven’t already. Nothing exciting.

“I would like to go to Ucsd because I feel that I would bring a high level of diversity to your campus. For starters, I’m a good looking individual which I know from past visits your campus lacks.” auto accept!!

Thanks guys :D

holy late emails batman. just got that email too. got accepted last friday

i cant believe we’re gonna have to wait another month to find out if we got accepted or not. what a tease…but i think people on the waitlist have a good shot this year. don’t ask me why, it’s just a gut feeling

^^ me too. There’s just too many of us on the wait list. They’re dangling it in front of us

Sociology major, waitlisted. It’s probably because of my GPA; my GPA at my CC is 3.8, but I had a rough time at my first college (which I explained in my personal statement), which dragged it down to something like 3.3 UC transferrable. Luckily, it wasn’t my first choice, and if Berkeley accepts me, I’ll just opt out of UCSD’s waitlistit wasn’t my first choice. I was accepted to UCSC and UCD, though.

^There are about 5 including myself Sociology majors on the waitlist that I know of. You have the same stats as myself and UCHappyTrain!

Yeah, I don’t know what it is with Soc majors. At least I didn’t get flat-out denied, but it’s not my first choice, so I’m not too upset (although I am kind of disappointed!). I mostly applied because I have a good friend that goes there—I prefer Northern California anyway.

Same here! it’s my first choice only because I completed most of the pre reqs haha

What upsets me most about being waitlisted is that they don’t tell you if you got accepted until AFTER June 1st. And seein as June 1st is the last day to tell the colleges whether you’re going or not, this conflicts with someone who got accepted into another college but didn’t want to go there in the first place.

For me, UCSD was my first choice. However, I got accepted into UCLA. I’m not gonna deny UCLA and cross my fingers, hopin UCSD gives me a chance and let’s me in. I’m not gonna chance it. Might as well have rejected me instead of givin me such false hope.
