** 2012 UCSD Transfer Decisions Thread **

@raginglulu you should SIR to UCLA just to be safe. we might not hear back from UCSD until july 1st, and that is way past the SIR deadline for UCLA.

Can anyone tell me why I was wait listed for UCSD after completing IGETC and TAG? I was even admitted to the major of choice at UCLA without TAG.

To clear up any questions before they arise, I completed all IGETC courses before the end of fall '11. I also have a 3.64 cumulative and a bio major.

I just got waitlisted and only applied to UCLA and UCSD; needless to say I got rejected from UCLA (for film of course). I hope all of you who got into UCLA take the admissions because UCSD is my only chance haha! nervous laugh

Just found out I was wait listed @ UCSD, but I’ve already been accepted @UCSB so I’m not taking it personally. Good luck to the rest of the hopefuls.

@uchappytrain Yeah, I was plannin on doin that regardless. But say that UCSD does end up accepting me, would I have the option of going there instead of UCLA?

@Actraiin

The mention of UCSD dangling anything in our faces brings vivid images into my head considering the recent discussion over meat spin and the helicopter :X

Lol @ everybodys witty personal statements, you guys are hilarious!

@raginglulu UCSD doesn’t let you know until june1-july1 and you have to decide if you’re going to ucla or not by june1 I think. You might have to make a decision earlier :I good luck though. I mean ucla is great!

you sir to the school you got in and see how your waitlist status goes. if you get into sd you sir to sd and cancel your first one. your sir fee from your prev school willnot be refunded

nnggh finally submitted my 200 words after working on it all day. GUYS I want to go to UCSD so bad. :frowning: :frowning: I hope they let me in.

@hrosent1 did you apply/get in anywhere else? I’m submitting mine tomorrow. Ugh I’m so nervous!!! My twin sis got in in march and here I am waitlisted :’(((( lol

Just in case anyone was wondering, not everyone was waitlisted. I had a friend who was straight out rejected with a 3.2.

Here’s to hoping all of us waitlisters that really want to go to UCSD get in!

@clamfest Applied to UCI, UCSD, UCLA, and UCB. Rejected UCLA and waitlisted UCSD and that’s it, so I’m freaking out a bit. I have a 3.9 gpa and lots of extracurricular and overcome obstacles…I’m not sure what more I could have done. This is crazy! I thought I for sure would have gotten in somewhere by now.

@dancemasterv: That makes me feel a bit better. UCSD wasn’t my first choice at all, but at least I wasn’t straight-up DENIED.

@hrosent1: Good luck getting into UCI and UCB! I hope you’re accepted at one of those. :)

It is just so annoying that we have to figure out our lives before finding out from SD. when do we have to worry about sending in transcripts?

@hrosent1 good luck! Sounds like you have good stats. Should get into UCI and UCSD at least! UCLA and UCB are tricky :stuck_out_tongue: I can’t believe you were waitlisted from ucsd though D:

So i got accepted to UCSD as a theater major on 4/20. i was denied by UCLA. Now waiting on USC :)

Aw man! I was waitlisted at UCSD. At least that’s better than getting denied!

What I don’t understand is that I was actually accepted to UCLA for the same major. UCLA is the better school!

Oh well :)

4 acceptances (UCSC, UCSB, UC Davis, UCLA), one waitlist (UCSD), and still waiting on two more (UCI, USC).

At least no rejections!

Good luck everyone!

@scheist you plan and getting off the UCSD waitlist? Where do you plan to go? Seems like you have a lot of choices!

Got accepted as a Psych major at Marshall!!! YAY!!! This was my number one choice so I’m crazy pumped. Got rejected from UCLA :frowning: but it’s all good!

Is anyone going to that Admit Day? Is there any word on if it’s cool or not? I live like an hour from SD and I have a friend who lives down there, I might just stay with him for that weekend if it’s a good event.
