[/ul]General Comments:

I was admitted to Revelle college (which was my mistake) is there any way I can immediately switch to Warren prior to transfer?? Engineers already have to take so many units as it is; I was hoping I could appeal such a thing.

Well, that’s good. At least they didn’t just straight reject people. They put a lot more people on the waitlist this year, so keep that hope alive!

@buranka

I don’t think it is possible to change schools.
Why is Revelle so bad compared to Warren?

I think its bad for me because it will result in a longer time period @ UCSD until I graduate

You might be able to ask at orientation and if that doesn’t work file a petition after the quarter starts. I don’t believe it’s possible to switch any other way.

Yayyyy admit package has arrived!

just got my sd waitlist packet today

^^ is that a joke? Lol

Yupp. It’s true, they send the waitlisters a packet too lol. I read it in last years UCSD waitlist thread & transfer thread.

it’s a stupid little envelope with a letter stating you’ve been placed on the waitlist. shouldn’t have even have bothered.

lol i got trolled so hard. thought i got off the waitlist and was considered for admission. Than it say lol no waitlist.

need to update my courses, but i don’t see the option on mytriton. Called in to ucsd and they just redirected me back to tau and i wasn’t able to update.

it is sort of funny but if you talk to the admission guys at ucsd they say there was no waitlist last yr… haha but everyone else online has said that there was a waitlist

^I think they’re confused, because my friend’s bf was on the waitlist last year.

I wonder if the order those wait listed letters are sent and received is an indication of your position on the wait list…

^ I feel like it’s just when you opt-in. Could be wrong though. The opt-in deadline isn’t for another 2 weeks though so where we are right now it’s saying much.

^^ yeah thats true, i guess the next thing to wait for would be data on UC admission for transfers to UCLA and CAL to get a better picture of how many people will be taken from the wait list.
