Well I see why you too are even more anxious. You are both solid candidates so don’t worry!

Ya the semester starts June 7th I believe I think it’s kinda unfair I have like a month to find a place to live n stuff oh well I love UT

Yes it is an odd way of doing it. You will have to make some adjustments quickly but you will figure it out. Registering is going to be the next major hurdle from what I understand but I’m hoping that’s more for freshmen who need to take basic courses.

What a piece of crap school. I apologize in advance for coming off as bitter but I am.

I applied as a transfer, turning my application and supplmement and all essays on time. They gave me until March 8 to send official transcripts, which I had already ordered. The transcripts were ordered over a week before the deadline, but were sent out of my college later than anticipated. This was out of my hands. They got to UTaustin only like two days late but my status was now “late.” I sent an appeal providing proof that I had ordered them before the deadline but I saw today my appeal was denied.

For two days late, something that was my school’s fault, not me. What kind of cold hearted admissions officers are there anyway? Damn redneck hillbillies were always rude the few times I called them. Discriminating idiots. I feel bad for all of you who attend that @$%^ school.

@sabby88 ya the only problem is I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter and a boyfriend with a bussiness degree who is already a store manager at Walgreens so it’s a major move short notice but he’s been looking for jobs it just sucks bc we can’t commite you know?

@that 1 guy

i know it’s frustrating but you should’ve had the trasncripts sent out a lot earlier.
But I might be able to agree with you that some of the people in the admissions office can be very rude and unhelpful at times.

But i really feel for you that’s just pathetic that they won’t accept credentials even though there’s a valid reason.

It is UT Austin though

@Acanaday88- yes that does complicate things. Compared to other places in the country Austin has a good job market, and housing can be crazy but just be persistent. Good luck to you!

Apparently I miss a lot in class…
Congrats on the admission!
I can’t believe it, the ball is actually rolling.

I received a decision too.
Everyone check your My Status page :)

@ParleG what are your stats? Which major?

what major parle g?

hmmm, well I guess that is good news!
Stats? In or out?

Also, did you receive an email before hand? where does the message appear?

gahhhhhhhh, I hate having to wait one more month to send my 30 hrs in.

Thank you fellas.
Major is ASE, haven’t received any email conformation yet :(

Message appears on the top, where it used to say “Your application is complete and is under review” stuff

Hey does anyone know if it slims my chances of getting into UT because I have to wait until the end of the semester to send in my spring transcript? I mean will they have already accepted a bunch of people and only have a few or no spots left for the incomplete applications?

@LoveLonghorns: Yeah, I believe so. But don’t worry if you got a high GPA.

@Gridzz @farhan123 I have a 4.0 from Rutgers University

So hypothetically would you all think someone with a 3.6 not hearing back from UT until the end of May be accepted into COLA or a college with similar competitiveness? Looked back at some older threads but I couldn’t really answer this question myself.

Applying for Physics as number one choice major and Government as choice number 2. GPA is 3.8 from my local CC and I am an honors student. The uncertainty is truly unbearable.
