2013/2014 Fall Transfer Thread

I applied to COLA… Yup I’m anxious i just hope our decision will be sent the same time as US students…

@lelo I know. Seeing people get accepted freaks me out. i hope there is room in rtf by the time i send in my final hours to complete the necessary 30

Anyone else get accepted to McCombs today??

Still nothing, I’m tired of waiting… just jonesing for some sign from the admissions god.

@kimimaro & @tahinak & @Sandykeen I am international too! Applying to CES Civil Engineering. My status just changed to ATTENTION: FILE IN REVIEW. I think we the internationals could expect a decision by the next week.

@Sandykeen do you remember me? I am also applying to TAMU (Transcript processing delayed thread)

@Gridzz cool to see other internationals too!! I also applied to TAMU, you were the one who posted about the delayed transcript right? Oh by the way I don’t know if it’s appropriate but on my AIS it’s sayin that the toefl was not processed… Are y’all from English speaking countries?

@ Gridzz where did y’all see attention in review? Cause mine only says complete… :(

@tahinak Yes I was the one that posted my concern about the transcripts. Actually they have not been processed yet :frowning: I would be transferring from a non-english country (my native lang is spanish). What do you mean that your toefl was no processed?? Mine says processed with a checkmark next to it.

Talking about UT, where it used to say “Your application for admission is complete” now says “Attention: File in review”. Dont worry, you will see later that it will change.

I have a question for all of you guys… Many of us must prove that we have completed the equivalent of Calculus I, M408C. My question is, how does UT compare their calculus I with the calculus I we took at our corresponding institutions?

We dont have to provide the syllabus of the Calculus we already took, so how do they know if we meet the requirement? I have been thinking about this. Do they keep a database where they know what actually is taught at other institutions?..

hey Gridzz 'sup? Yes ofcourse i remember you and your post… we are all lurking around CollegeConfidential for answers and comfort…lol
@tahinak i am from Cameroon (bilingual: english-french); however, i took the Toefl a year and a half ago which they processed successfully a while ago…You shouls call them ASAP to make sure everything is alright

Oh my God!! @Sandykeen I’m from Ivory Coast (French speaking) this is so cool to find not only an international but also an African! Lool. I called a couple of days ago and they told me they would call me back… Do y’all think it can play against me? Like i made A’s in all my English classes with American lit and all… OMG I’m getting depressed… :frowning:
@Gridzz I’m not sure about the calculus cuz I’m sort of a political science major so, math is not a big requirement for me… (I hope I’m right, now I don’t even kno anymore)

@Gridzz - M408C covers all of Calculus I and the first half of Calculus II. So for the rest of us, that means we have to have finished both Calculus I and II (unless you go to a college that offers a math class like 408C).

Good to know many international students like me. Where do you guys study?
@Gridzz: this’s the link the see if your course are transferable. If your institution’s not on the list. You should call the admission

Does anyone else agree that this is a lot longer wait than people had last year? Looking at last years thread there were a lot of posts about acceptances around April 16th-18th and this year there is very few… Whats going on? Haven’t we waited long enough?

I think less people have posted on this thread.

Congratulations! You’ve been accepted for admission into the incoming class to the Unspecified Business (transfer) major in the Red McCombs School of Business beginning in Fall 2013.

I should note that a admissions director reached out to me 10 minutes prior and asked for a description of my gap year: “Wow, we were impressed with your file and this lets us know even more. Be sure to check your status. I believe you’ll be pleased.”

HELL YEAH, I’M SO HAPPY!!!

@rasd765 Congratz to you :slight_smile:
@Gridzz i think you should call them an inquire if you need to show any proof…however, i think if Calc.I is stated on your transcript then you might be fine if you have Calc.II in progress.

Just got accepted to Cockrell School of Engineering! Applied as a post-baccalaureate student but weirdly, they put me in the mechanical engineering major. Will head to the admissions office in a while to check out why. I already emailed them two days ago but they didn’t reply.
