2013/2014 Fall Transfer Thread

Well that is nice of you to say, and I hope you are right. I know with COLA a 3.5 is considered competitive. I bet you don’t have to sweat as much as you think. Good luck! I look forward to finding out what our fates will be.

Hey guys, what did your “about your admission” page say? Is it the same default message for everyone or are there different versions, depending on how they evaluated the applicants? I’m just wondering haha.

@acceptmepls If @saby88’s stats are a no brainer how do I look? RTF/UGS with hopefully at least a 3.56GPA (hopefully 3.67) by the time my second semester has ended.

Is anyone going to the Transfer student orientation on July 15 and 16th?

I’ve heard that once you transfer to UT your GPA gets wiped clean. Is that true??? Because I have a 4.0 and I’m really worried that is going to happen!

I’ll be going to the business school orientation july 11th, is there a Facebook page for admits?

so your my status has to change from “complte/on time” to “in review” before u should expect a decision?

@jpgarcia6 - I don’t really know anything about RTF, but I think that might be slightly on the low side. You’re certainly competitive for UGS, though.

That’s pretty much what I hear. I’m very confident on my essays though and I hear UT has a preference for Hispanics so hopefully I’m good for RTF.

Also @alybaker yes your GPA is wiped clean. Your new GPA is only for classes taken at UT.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using CC

@lavinboy I was accepted on Wednesday and my status never changed from complete/on time
@jpgarcia from what I’ve heard the college of communications is one of the hardest to get in to. I got accepted to RTF with a 3.87

any new acceptances today??

@jpgarcia6: i’m in the same boat, hispanic too. Im banking on my essays and my work experience. Right before my app was submitted I worked as an assistant editor for the new thirty seconds to mars - up in the air music video. It premieres today and my name will be in the credits. If I don’t get in do you guys think that would be a good appeal factor?

@filmandwriting what was the last thing your my status displayed before you got accepted?

@lanvinboy14: you seem as nervous/anxious as I am!! :stuck_out_tongue: but anyways filmandwriting said it displayed the same thing, nothing new
