@curlyfreak: wait you applied as a (at least 60hours) transfer? What does that mean? I’m on my second year of college this year but I applied to the film major (at least 30hours). What’s the difference between the two???

@dpayan7 Aw man sorry to hear that. That has me very worried now. Did you also get denied to UGS? I’m hoping the fact that you are state of state is the main reason because I really need to be accepted. I don’t know what I’ll do.

wait… does out of state mean your college is out of state or that your not a texas resident?

Lanvinboy: It means he’s an out of state resident. Or it should anyway. If you graduated from a hs in Texas then you should be good.

@jpgarcia6: my second choice major was in the college of communications too (advertising) I wish I would’ve selected UGS

@dpayan7

Your application looks great compared to others I’ve seen accepted into the same college. I would say your GPA is the almost definite reason for your denial, since they require OOS applicants to have a much higher GPA, especially for harder colleges like RFT. As suggested by others, I would definitely do an appeal. Hopefully your grades this semester will boost your GPA, and maybe you can try UGS.

so if i have 30+ hours right now and the Bio major CNS requires no indicator courses to be done & that you only be “ready” to take calculus then we should hear before may right?

accepted into college of education!! 3.29 good luck to everyone still waiting im shaking and in shock!!!

Me and dpayan7 are very similar. My GPA is slightly higher (around a 3.56-3.67 by the time I send in a second transcript) and I am in-state but aside from that we are pretty much the same. Do you think I have a shot at RTF? Or at least UGS?

@jpgarcia: you got this man, you’ll get in trust me! I’m not a resident so my gpa had to be super top notch!

Does anyone know if I can apply for spring 2014 as a UGS student?

@ AR0843, @Gridzz, @ tahinak, hope y’all doing great. Couldn’t help but call UT today and guess was they told me … " The decision for int’l students will be released probably next month or in June or maybe even in July"… I want to believe the dude i spoke to was actually just getting up from sleep or something…Maybe it’s time i forget about UT and focus on my finals and life…
Well, fingers crossed!
:-)

@Sandykeen, Really?! Why?! Internationals are students too… And yup like every one right now we can’t take the wait… Oh my god I hope the guy was sleepy like u said…

My “calculus readiness” message at the front of application status is not there anymore, anyone else has this?

Hi i just found this page and I’m an international student and my page just changed to “Your file is in review.” does any one know how long it take now?

Hi Ger2Tex. Welcome to our torture waiting forum.

For we the internationals, there are two predicted decision notification. The first one is between now till the end of april. The second one is between june/july.
I have that “Attention: application in review” since last week. Every time I talk to admissions, they tell me that they would release decisions by the end of april. Now I see from @Sandkeen post that our nightmare is coming true.

I sent an email to admissions today regarding the approximate date they would release decisions. For the third time the lady told me that decisions will be released by the end of this month.

I am really confused. This patience is killing me.

@Gridzz and Ger2tex where do y’all see “your app is in review”? Cuz mine still says
“Your application for admission is complete.
We have all the items we need to make your admission decision. As soon as your decision is made, it’ll be posted on this page and you will be notified.”
Plus I only have on my my status complete, I heard some people have complete/on time…
I’m getting worried…

Tahinak, I’d call the admission too see what’s going on.

REJECTEDDDDDD. SMU it is.

what were your stats and majors you applied for? Have you thought about appealing the decision with your spring transcript?

@GusCal45 if you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats and what colleges did you apply to?
