wait if you have new grades that were not on the transcript sent to Austin then submit an appeal right away!! even if your gpa increases just a bit, the admission committee loves positive academic trends. i’d give you about a 50/50 chance for a change in decision but its better then having regrets.

Thank you!! Do you know how to submit an appeal? Do I just send a letter to the office of admissions or something like that?

Does anyone know what your chances are if you have to wait until the end of your semester to submit 30 hours? Is it harder to get in since UT has already accepted people with 30+ hrs? My semester is finishing on May 15, and by the way my grades are looking my GPA should be a 3.9+. I’m an in-state student transferring from a UT Dallas to UT and looking to major in biochem which is part of the CNS.

@leouchFTW your at no disadvantage as most applicants have not even gotten admission decisions, only the high GPA’s of 3.6+ for the majority have heard anything. With a 3.9 it would be a travesty for them to deny you as far as I’m concerned.

Wow, thank you for the insight, and might I say I was astounded by your use of vocab there in the last sentence. I have much more confidence now that I will be able to get into UT!

Has anyone heard back?

Any news from international student? Normally we should’ve known the decision at this time. I’m getting impatient aarghhh

Nope But I was awarded financial aid from UT, I just can’t see how much…this wait is killing me

Is this the thread for Spring 2014 transfers too? Anyone know when the deadline is for that, and when I should start working that out? I assume I can open a transfer file or something before I actually set up the transfer work?

@kingaion: Per the title, this thread is for 2013 Fall transfers. I’m sure you could take the initiative and create a thread for 2014 Spring transfers.

Regarding deadlines: Google’s a great tool to find information about spring transfer deadlines for UT. Three seconds of searching yielded this result: [Undergraduate Admission < The University of Texas at Austin](Undergraduate Admission < The University of Texas at Austin)

What do you mean “open a transfer file”? Do you mean start an application via the ApplyTexas.org website?

seriously when are we going to find out!!! does anyone have any ideas?

i would guess May 2 after all freshman make their decisions on admission

I called admissions on Friday and they said should be within the next 2 weeks.

Dam, two more weeks?!..lol

Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous.

This is so crazy that it is taking so long. Friday is the last day of class at my college and my last final is on wednesday, and im sure ill know my grades for the semester before I know if I got accepted or not. I have totally turned into this monster because I have to check every 30 minutes and if I get inturpted I go crazy.

Basicly, I dont think I will be able to wait another 2 weeks, I might just chew someones head off today.

I’ve been admitted!!! Check your UT EID you guys!! I’m so excited!!!

@eg050315 CONGRATS!!! So excited for you!!
