2013/2014 Fall Transfer Thread

Hi was just wondering if anyone else got word I thought the deadline was May 1st and still has me an in review.

@Ger2Tex, that was said to me too. I applied to CNS and was promised that I would hear back from UT till May 1. I am an international student who applied to Computer Science. Did anyone hear back from the College of Natural Sciences?

Nothing here. I am also an intl student. Applied to CSE Civil Engineering and havent heard anything yet.

So I have an extended deadline to June 1st as well. I’ll have 33 credits and a GPA of 3.55 at the lowest and 3.79 at the highest, which is down from the 3.88 that I got last fall. I’ve got a letter of recommendation and two decent essays, as well as lots of extracurricular achievements.

I applied to the Jackson School of Geosciences and also COLA as a back up. What do you think my chances are? Do you think having the extended deadline will hurt me considering they will have accepted loads of people by then?

When will they tell us internationals

im dying over here

I applied for the summer session as an instate resident with more than 30 hours and still havent heard…

my status was just changed to ‘Your Application for admission is complete’ from ‘Your file is in review’…but no decision is made. I’m so worried right now
I’m an intl’ student

I am an international transfer to Mccombs School of Business. My application status has rolled back from “Attention: In review” to “Your application is complete”. What’s wrong ?? Any1 experience the same? I am really nervous.

@kimimaro, So do I!!!

whoa at the same time, coincidence :). Now I don’t have to call admission to ask about this problem. Hope I’ll get result by this week so I can focus on my finals

I guess due to high volume of applications this year, the decisions come out very late. It means more difficult to get in :shy:

@Apachedan why do you have an extended deadline? Were you put for spring grades review?

The extended deadline is for people who were in the process of completing the last of their thirty credits at the time of applying. So basically they have to see my spring transcript first before making a decision.

Does the same case apply for those applicants who didnt meet the minimum coursework requirements for some majors by the deadline?

Do any of you guys know anyone who transferred after 1 semester of college?

Do you think that the decisions for international students might come out today? My status: Attention. Your file is in review. But it has been about two weeks since I got this status. Could some of you guys ask about international transfer decisions? I asked twice. If I do it again, it might be a little annoying to them.

For those of you who have more than 30 credit hours already and who have completed any necessary indicator courses for your major(s), I don’t think there is any way to accurately estimate when you will receive your decision. Honestly, it could be any day now. I wasn’t expecting to hear back until the end of May but I got accepted at the end of April and I hadn’t checked my status in 3 or 4 days. So really, it could be any day. There is no way to gauge exactly which day it will be.

Can any1 answer my question? :(

Just opened my MyStatus and found I was denied

@Korsgaard, there is no such thing as a “transfer” applicant to UT who isn’t going to have 30+ transferrable credits by the time they enroll. Probably why no one has answered your question.

Anyone applying with less than 30 credits is considered a freshman applicant and will be subjected to the same standards for admission as high school applicants with zero college credit.

Unless someone completed 30 or more transferrable credits in one semester (extremely unlikely and probably not even allowed at most institutions), then they are a freshman applicant.
