I have sent a couple of emails but have yet to receive a response when the Bursar's Office will release the 2013-2014 numbers? Has anyone been given this information or any expected amount of increase over current figures?

When I last spoke with the FA office they said the officials numbers should be released this coming week.

So does this mean that the annual cost of attendance, which on DD’s Financial Aid page is 64,104.00, is likely to go up for 2013-14?

The average annual increase over the past couple of years has been approximately 4%. That equates to a four year incremental increase of over $26K.

Using your figure of $64,104, if based on current cost of attendance, and 4% annual increases:

Year 1: $66,668
Year 2: $69,335
Year 3: $72,108
Year 4: $74,993

70K+ is absolutely shocking, this is making me sick.

In the brochure “NYU Financial Facts” that we received in the mail today, the estimated student budget for 2013-2014 is $64,047. Using this figure for year one, here is the cost of attending for four years with 4% annual increases:

$ 64,047
$ 66,609
$ 69,273
$ 72,044

$271,973

This student budget does not include an amount for transportation.

Oh my god. What is the tuition itself?

Hey, pay it or don’t pay. Nobody owes you anything. NYU is a great school and worth every penny.

@finalchild, lol :)

$44,845 Tuition and mandatory fees
$ 510 School based fees
$ 1,070 Books and supplies
$16,622 Housing and food
$ 1,000 Personal expenses
