I figured you were updating the list since your name appears next to the post. Sounds straightforward enough though. Not exactly neuroscience :P

I’m pretty psyched. I just got my best GPA out of any semester and made Dean’s List. I sent all of my schools updated unofficial transcripts and official transcripts if they requested it.

I’m mad though because my school is closed till the 2nd and can’t send out official transcripts to Iowa till then even though I finished my app over a week ago. They are doing their next round the first week of January, so I don’t know, hopefully the official gets there. They have my unofficial though. Oh silly undergrad school, stressing me out post app submitting. Who closes from Dec 22-Jan 2nd during grad school rush anyways :-p

@elocin, for your UIC application, do you have a slot of Official Transcripts? Because other than the two Miscellaneous Doc slots, that is the only one empty and mine still says incomplete, but on the website it says they only want Officials from those they accepted. I called their office but of course it’s closed till Jan 2nd. Have you heard from Purdue? I dropped Notre Dame cause of problems with their letters of rec, unfortunately I had already sent them my GRE. What a waste of $25 haha.

@seldamat - logical conclusion After I started the thread, mollieb offered to make it more useful and updating the initial post with her moderator capabilities.

What do you guys suggest for reporting new grades. I would like schools to see my fall semester grades. Is there a protocol for including grades to be considered pre-interview? Thanks.

@trickster

I only had to give unofficial transcripts, so I scanned and uploaded. I know I had problems with my app where I put both information for the two schools I went to down, but only one of them showed up for uploaded documents for my institution. I ended up uploading the other one to “miscellaneous academic documents”. I didn’t have to send official transcripts to them, but upload unofficial ones.

I haven’t heard anything from Purdue yet, so we’ll see what happens after the new year. It’s strange you had issues with Notre Dame. Everything went smoothly for me; I just have to send in my application fee and I’m good to go.

@Elocin and trickster

I had the same problem with UIC; only showed my degree granting institution, not the previous one (my credits are 50/50 split). I put the other transcript in “miscellaneous” as well. Their system seems very convoluted, product of being a public institution? (reminds me of undergrad)

You guys can merge the two PDF files together, can only upload one file.

Happy New Year, everybody!!!

@ss2player

Idk, it’s just a weird system I guess. It has a slot for my official transcripts, and it’s blank and makes me feel like I am suppose to send it in. UIC uses the old system that the Illinois umbrella uses(UI-Chicago, UI-Urbana Champaign, UI-Springfield), whereas UI-Urbana Champaign uses some updated version of the online app almost every school I applied to used. I guess they just like it that way. It is nice that you get to see if they received everything all in one location.

Does anyone know if UCSF BMS is done sending out invites? Thanks!

Has anyone heard from Emory IMP or NYU Sackler MMP? The suspense is slowly killing me…

Anyone get any interview requests, rejections, or any type of correspondence today??

@diamedic17 I just talked to University of Washington’s microbiology program, who said they’re making interview decisions next week, but that’s about it.

NYU Sackler interview today for Jan 24th/25th

Since the last time I posted (when I had received invites from UNC BBSP, Emory MSP, and Johns Hopkins CMM), I received interview invites from UCSD BMS, NYU BMS, and WashU DBBS :)

Yale BBS said on the phone that the immunology group has finished sending out invites while the director said via email that most invites will be sent out this week and next week. I’m hoping the latter is true. UCB immunology should be sending out invites Jan 3-11 so for those who’ve applied, we should hopefully be getting those soon.

@molliebatmit - in the past, about this time of year, you and/or XIV21 provided insights into the timeline for the Harvard BBS committee’s timeline. Last year, according to XIV21, the committee met on the 6th, and invites ended up being sent on the 10th/11th. Do you have anything to share about this year?

I haven’t heard anything – my lab isn’t at the main medical school campus, so I don’t frequently get the scuttlebutt. But the committee generally meets around the same time each year.

Thanks Mollie :)
