I’m new here and I noticed a lack of an official 2013 Decision Thread!

Stats/Info:

I’m not sure how many people will reply/add on to this thread, but I will make sure to post my admissions to decision to help those who are having to wait until late March/April for theirs!

Irishthund3r, Congrats on your acceptance!
And you're right, that would be nice. Take one look at the class of 2012's regional breakdowns and it's clear that there is not an over-abundance of southerners lol.

To ilmor, represent! The last time I was in Kentucky was staying at a hotel for the Indy 500.

As soon as you dont have to wear your name tag during orientation...take it off

Make the most of freshman year.

And don't slack off, when it comes to make a resume and you have garbage frosh grades draggin down the cumGPA because you were an idiot you will regret it.

In response to the two questions posed about the regular decision mail dates, here is what I know.

In the past, the university has sent out the "big batch" of RD verdicts starting on the west coast and then moving eastward from there. They do this to facilitate proper planning for "Accepted Students Day" (or w/e it is called). I think this is something that we will just have to wait and see on (hopefully a more knowledgeable source comes along). Additionally, if you have applied for a specific scholarship (arts, high-merit, etc.) they may get back to you a little earlier. I am definitely not an authoritative source on the matter but these are the things I have read on past years forums ( a well-formulated google search should yield some answers).

It wouldn't hurt to call the University and just ask when mid-march comes around. To my knowledge, they aren't going to take note of you calling to inquire...Don't tell them your name just ask and you just may get an answer. Good luck!

join the men’s crew team . Men’s rowing is the only varsity sport that one can pick up and be god at in college. Our team is a top 20 rowing school and it is the best thing you could do for connections and having a fun time. Though it is hard work , it is rewarding .

oh, i got notified last week by phone call. But only because I was part of a scholarship program. I haven’t gotten an official letter yet, they just told me I’m in.

CONGRATS to all who have been accepted.
How will they notify the rest of the applicants on the 20th? If it’s not online, will they email us, arrange mail delivery on the 20th, or what?
