<p>I currently have the “good” housing status message but I never checked it initially so I’m not sure when or if it changed.</p>
<p>I do know that within the last week my financial aid status (through the link on page 40) went from “we haven’t received your fafsa…etc” to a new screen that says they have received it with a checklist of things I must complete.</p>
<p>Who knows… It’s like passing a girl a note in middle school… “hEy sD do U liKE me?? circle Y/N” and they circle both lol.</p>

I’m just being a little skeptical here… but doesn’t it seem like the wide majority of people have the “good” housing message? Including myself. A lot of us can also see the FAFSA checklist, so it just seems a bit iffy to me.</p>
<p>I’ve been stalking this thread for a while, guess I should share my experience! I have the “good” housing message, but I didn’t really think I was going to get into ucsd. I’m missing one calc class and have a relatively low gpa as a biology major, but maybe I did get in? I guess we’ll find out!</p>
<p>Does the housing plan trick work if I’m planning to live on campus? I put that on my FAFSA… Plus my FAFSA still isn’t showing up on TritonLink…</p>
<p>@Lissie same here I thought bio at SD would be extremely competitive to get in… I have a 3.68 gpa with no TAG so I thought I wouldn’t get in</p>

<p>@biotoucla mine is even lower (3.38) so I really didn’t think I’d get in, and was already set on UCSB or Davis, but I have the “good” housing message. I’m not getting my hopes up, just wanted to let people know so they can have a better idea of who’s getting the changed message.</p>

<p>Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected (strengths/weaknesses):
Strength would be my GPA. Weakness would be that I did barely any of their prereqs. I’m surprised that I got in because I thought they wouldn’t accept someone who hasn’t done at least the majority of their major prereqs.</p>
<p>@Lissie93 and @BioToUcla I’m also a bio major with a 4.0, but missing Calc 3 and OChem 2. I have the bad housing message. 
I wish I had the “good” housing message, but there seems to be no consistency so far :T Do you guys think the message means acceptance or just “your decision has been made”?</p>
<p>@wintergreen, thanks for the reassurance, but you never know, they can admit and reject whoever they want… and I’m missing two major prereqs, so yeah… no way to know. They should just release the decisions they made already… I don’t understand why they hold everything for everyone and then let it all out in one day. Such drama! lol</p>

<p>Hey everyone! So I just wanted to know what the whole housing message thing was about. So I called housing and explained all the speculations and how some people have different messages than others. They said that if you cannot access your housing application, no matter what the message is, that the decision was not yet made. I know that’s pretty self explanatory, but like some of you guys, I am still waiting for a decision from UCSD and am exteremly nervous and anxious. I already got my acceptance from UCD. Still waiting on UCI.</p>
<p>@Pinkinkink, what housing said is true. Because the messages could still change at the last minute…mostly from bad to good, and in some rare cases, from good to bad. It’s those rare cases that makes me nervous…even though I’m tagged for UCSD and have 3.75GPA and completed IGETC.</p>

<p>@ucsdbarbra If your major isn’t impacted, I am sure you got in with the TAG and the completed IGETC. TAG is a guarantee. So I wouldn’t be worried about it. Just make sure you keep up with spring semester and don’t let your GPA get any lower. :)</p>
