I am an international student in VA… seems that I won’t get it today :(

Did anyone else get logged into the school’s service system “Blink” when they tried to view their decisions?

Can we switch colleges if we get accepted?

@mermaker, From UCSD’s website:

“In practice, the overwhelming majority of students are happy with their college assignment, even if it was not their first choice originally, and few students apply to switch. Petitions to transfer between colleges are difficult to justify and approved only in exceptional cases. To qualify, you must complete your originally assigned college’s writing program, demonstrate that switching to a different college will substantially shorten your time to degree, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 with a specified number of completed units.”

Under maintenance arghhhhhhh. I’m a 4.0 GPA transfer student from a San Diego CC. UCSD is my number one choice. Breaking under the strain. Yes I got redirected to “Blink” several times today. Once I put in “myapplication” in the address bar it goes to system maintenance…

is it maybe that they’re only opening it up to people who got accepted, and the people who are still under review are in the under maintenance section?

@ttavakol
This is not how it works. The system maintenance is generally due to server problems from so much traffic at one time.

ugh hope not D:

oh ok well that would be great! it’s just weird to see all these people being able to see their acceptances while others are stuck in that page T.T

“all these people”?? So far I see like one… @mistybeach… I think the server is overloaded…

Everyone is so anxious. Try this! I just check the address section of the application, it posted a UCSD Campus email there. So I’m wondering whether that means I am in. My logic is this, The information is there! It is just too many people are suddenly visiting the decision page, so it was crashed. So check whether you have a UCSD email address!!

PLEASE post your result! So we can keep track this trail

^ I agree that means you’re in. It doesn’t show an email address for me…

that’s smart!! Well if you got in congratulations! :D

If it doesn’t show an email, don’t panic. Still a lot of apps that need to be reviewed!

"Student e-mail accounts for new undergraduate students are assigned by the UCSD Academic Computing Services Office. This process occurs after the Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) deadline has been reached for your starting quarter (early May for Fall quarter), and before orientation. " So @yonghengph not sure why you can access your email already if you haven’t sent in your intent to register…

^^me neither…so anxious…

It says on my page that they don’t create e-mail addresses for new students until June.

“Student e-mail accounts for new undergraduate students are assigned by the UCSD Academic Computing Services Office. This process occurs after the Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) deadline has been reached for your starting quarter (early May for Fall quarter), and before orientation. If you are a new undergraduate student, your account should be ready when you receive information from your college about new student orientation. Please check back at that time. NOTE: if you accepted admission to UCSD after the original SIR deadline, or are a late transfer to UCSD, your account may not have been automatically activated in the first batch. Your account will be created in a subsequent batch - check back a few days after your SIR has been processed. If you still don’t have an account, AND you are enrolled (not just accepted) for the upcoming term, you can activate your account yourself using the ACSREG Tool.”

I tried that, it just says “Your UCSD E-mail address is:” ugh guess im either not in or im going to have to wait longer -.-

I just wish I can check my admissions status Even if I didn’t get accepted today. The wait is killing meeeeeeee

yes, what @mistybeach said. She is accepted but doesn’t have an email yet. That was a red herring. Back to trying to get on the application page!
