Can people that cant see their financial aid summary post on here? It seems as though everyone on here can!

OMG!!!
“The academic year you have selected is not yet available for submission of housing applications.”
I am sooo happy… this was the BEST indicator last year…
I’m gonna go throw up

Sarah did you see that from the “apply online” for housing link?

Housing application is undergoing maintenance ;_; All I want to do is check my status…

@waterox
YES!

Is there anyone that can’t see financial aid info?

I didn’t hear from one person who didn’t have financial aid info available.

@MikeT92

I don’t have financial aid available because I didn’t fill out a FAFSA…I can see my major on myUCLA and my housing status changed as well though.

@MikeT92

Like Tofusando, I did not file a FAFSA and cannot see my financial info because of that. However, my major has showed up on MyUCLA. Unfortunately the housing site is down so I have to wait to check that…

@MikeT92 same for me as the last two people

I cannot see my financial aid. I cannot see my major. I have a 4.0 GPA. HMFL.

I know that it seems like 90% of us are all seeing our majors, financial aid summary, & housing and were skeptical. But I mean UCLA is already backed up as it is, I dont see why they would take the time to input each individual person’s major, summary and fix the housing app if we didnt get in. So I feel like these tricks are GOOD signs. & we all have high GPAs and probably finished all prereqs.

If your GPA is high and you dont see anything, they probably just havent gotten to your application yet. Dont worry guys only 2 more days! :)

so I did not apply for financial aid, what should I be seeing on my URSA page?

Just looked at my financial aid link on URSA and it shows my summary with dollar amounts, didn’t show anything yesterday. Seems like good news. Hope my info will help future nervous applicants.

This was a kind of confusing thread to follow for me and maybe some others…thus the repetitive questions…but we are all ultimately in this boat together! Good luck to ALL of us!! Come on, Friday!

@eyespy

What is your major? And did you finish your pre-reqs?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been lurking around this thread for about two weeks now and I finally gave in to contribute my thoughts/opinions, or mainly just my anxious feelings towards UCLA decisions! Hopefully my stats will help next year’s round of transfer students :).

I am finally able to see my financial aid info as of today! I also received the housing info of, "The academic year you have selected is not yet available for submission of housing applications.

Major: Pre-psych
GPA: 3.8-3.9
Pre reqs: Will be completed by end of Spring!
IGETC: Will be completed by Spring
EC’s: Very few, except for my part time job
Personal Statement: Good, but definitely not fantastic!

^ my major is French. I finished all of my pre-req’s. AA in French. I’m IGETC. I got accepted to UCSD and SDSU (well, that isn’t saying much), the only schools I applied to. As a note, none of the tricks worked on UCSD for me. I had nothing to go on or hope for until decisions came out a few weeks ago. So whoever came up with the post above about “if you don’t show any of these tricks you are 90% rejected or waitlisted” is full of #@%$ as far as I’m concerned. I think if you DO show the tricks, that is excellent news. But if you don’t… we just won’t know until Friday.

You guys nobody reads personal statements. I wrote all over my PS about UCLA and I got accepted into Irvine.

You’re right, the tricks aren’t very good at determining if you’re going to be rejected, but they’re very good at seeing if you’ve been accepted.

If you see the tricks, you’re 99% in, only one person (in 2011) saw them and was rejected. If you don’t see them, there are many instances of people not seeing them and getting in

Thank you @almalex5! Hmph. I’m going to bed I gotta get up at 3:30 am and go to work. You guys worry for me and I’ll pick it up later…

Yes and besides, just because the UCSD tricks didn’t work doesn’t mean the same for UCLA. A lot more people have tried the UCLA tricks over the years.
