according to the ucla website, it says
"Freshman decisions will be available late in the evening on March 22nd."

does anyone know what time it is exactly and what time zone would that be in...like do they mean late in the evening..for pacific time or eastern time?

Late evening pacific time. I would guess around 5PM PST, which means around 8PM EST.

If I recall correctly, decisions were released between 4:30-5:30 PM Pacific Time. You’ll also get an e-mail notifying that decisions are available, but that may come a little while after they are actually posted.

^ Is the UCLA admission site known for crashing when decisions are first released, or is it more reliable? (The UCSD site went down this morning.)

I didn’t experience any problems accessing my decision letter (nor did I hear of the site crashing at any point), although I logged in literally 1 minute after the decisions were posted. Since there’s been an uptick in applications in the past few years (and the UC application system having crashed before) it wouldn’t surprise me if it did occur, so maybe just prepare to be a little more patient (I know it’s hard enough as it already is) in the event that it does happen.
