<p>While the validity of these rankings is questioned by many, the importance in parents and students minds cannot be overlooked. This year, UF recovered a bit from last years rankings dip by increasing to 17 among publics and 54 overall. This beats Ohio State, Clemson, Syracuse, Northeastern, and Purdue.</p>
<p>This was helped by substantial jumps in peer assessment, jumping from 3.2 to 3.6, and a large jump in high school counselor ratings to 3.8. </p>
